Most unpleasant celeb you've ever met?

I met a well known mum of a celebrity today. I was offering to give her a hand as she had dropped some shopping on the way to her car.

She shouted 'Don't touch! It's fruit Confused' I said oh sorry, thought you needed a hand there. She said no, just don't touch. I'm fine.

I was shocked and walked off.

Have you ever met a celebrity that's been rude? Or sounded rude even if they weren't actually speaking to you?

I’ve met Warwick Davies a couple of times and he was lovely both times. His wife was with him on one occasion and they were sweet together too. I guess some of them could be having a bad day.

I haven't met many, but Gary Lineaker was not at all the warm self depreciating character he plays on TV. He thinks he's God's gift to women.

I met him too and he was absolutely lovely! Spent ages chatting to us even though he was out with friends.

H has seen him a few times in passing. He seemed to have met lots of people when he worked near St Pancras and Farringdon station! He said he was really pleasant looking

Oh and I know you haven’t asked this but DD and I met Craig Revel Horwood and he was am absolute delight with her (she was a big Strictly fan) and he plays a panto baddie on the show

WhackingPhoenix · 09/05/2022 19:57

Vic Reeves! He came into the shop I worked in when I was 16 and had no manners.

Yellowbluepinklillies · 09/05/2022 19:57

My dd met David tennent in sainsburys once-she was a massive fan and asked for a selfie
he was an utter arse to her-she was crushed

debbie mcgee (Paul daniels wife) was a bitch to a friend when she was in a restaurant and my friend was the waitress
clicking her fingers and was very rude in a ‘do you not know who I am?’ way
she didn’t leave a tip either

ThorsBedazzler · 09/05/2022 19:58

Judy Murray is v private but friendly enough.

My friends and were drunk and unnecessarily rude to some actor from Shameless once. Poor man. (I still think it was a bit funny though.)

Sapphirensteel · 09/05/2022 19:58

I have no idea who Carol Wright is but I used to work with a woman with the same name who was pretty awful. Don’t think they could be the same person though.
Camilla Parker-Bowles, ignorant, rude.
Mark Kermode, thinks he’s a lot more than he is.

Cliff Richard.

Judy Finnegan.

Mick Hucknall.

Usernameisgone · 09/05/2022 20:01

Greg Wallace (MasterChef) total nob head. Flanked by massive security guards and refused to talk about or answer questions on MasterChef. Its all people wanted to talk to him about.

Drywhitefruitycidergin · 09/05/2022 20:01

Jack Nicholson when i was about 14 and on a school trip to Tate gallery.
Now as an adult i can appreciate that meeting a bunch of teenage girls on a private day off might not be his idea of fun but there was no need to be quite so rude.

Cornishseawaves · 09/05/2022 20:01

Stacey Solomon, she was a rude twat all three times I met her.

We met Judy Murray in a bakery once! She certainly wasn’t rude, we were very excited particularly when children didn’t believe us when we got back to the car!

Proper up himself

PeonyRose80 · 09/05/2022 20:07

James Martin urgh horrendously up himself- very rude.

Tyson Fury and his wife, absolutely lovely.

veronicagoldberg · 09/05/2022 20:07

Surely if the woman was famous enough for you to recognise her, she's a celeb in her own right, not a celeb's mum!

StressyMcStressFace · 09/05/2022 20:07

bobbingalongside · 09/05/2022 19:51

I haven't met him but a very close friend has met Elliott Wright. She said he was absolutely lovely and offered to help with her daughter's pram down the stairs

I have also met Elliott Wright and can confirm he was very nice. I got a selfie with him although I had absolutely no idea who he was until after. Everyone was getting selfies with him so we just joined in!
