Just some fun - I always want to delete FB but some of the above keeps me hooked!

My pet peeves….

  • tagging in at hospitals and it’s is 100% nothing
  • Any post that contains the phrase ‘making memories’
  • ‘My Monday view’ and it’s usually a pool or beach - you are on holiday, you are not Jeff Bezos
  • Any photos of a poorly child coughing, crying, having been sick - usually with a lengthy text about how ill their child is ‘temp spiking 45degrees’ and all the comments suggest A&E to which OP will play down and ‘hope it’s nothing’ 😑
  • my MiL sharing posts of lost dogs (from Romania or the USA) he ain’t going to be up the park near us.
  • Anything that starts ‘share if you agree’
  • seasonal post Christmas trees with presents or just trees, trust me they all look alike I have the same bastard thing in my alcove to look at
let’s have them!!

Feeling blessed

Narwhalelife · 04/05/2022 23:11

@LovelyQuiche oh yes…probably followed by a photo of their offspring (I sound bitter - I do have kids 🤣)

This one (above a picture of a child or husband etc.)

Making memories

Living their best life

If you know you know

My world

Pieceofpurplesky · 04/05/2022 23:14

The hubster/famalam/holibobs

Had the best time ever

DC Absolutely smashed it (school report related)

Themilkyway97 · 04/05/2022 23:14

Agree with feeling blessed (ugh hate it)

Themilkyway97 · 04/05/2022 23:15

Smashed it out the park
Aced it

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 04/05/2022 23:16

The ones that make some ridiculous assertion, and then say “Prove me wrong” - for example - “book is the only word in the English language with a double-o in the middle - prove me wrong!”

Themilkyway97 · 04/05/2022 23:18

I also hate the use of the work ' cheeky' in this context:

Off for a cheeky drink
A cheeky pint

Also when someone has had a birthday and they write 'been totally spoilt'

When women take pictures of themselves holding a drink (just their hand holding it)

Narwhalelife · 04/05/2022 23:23

🤣🤣 these are brilliant - Facebook needs to get in the bin

I’m with @Themilkyway97 cheeky is 🤮🤮

I have been known to walk out of a car dealership when a salesman asked me if I wanted a cheeky test drive 😐 what’s cheeky about it dickhead? it’s a fucking car.

Louise0701 · 04/05/2022 23:27

The thing that’s really pissing me off at the moment is “pending”

Photo of an oven with a pan…
“Sunday roast pending”

Photo of baby bump…
”Baby number X pending”

Photo of the dash of their car…
”family day pending”

it really gives me the rage.

SleepingStandingUp · 04/05/2022 23:28

I dislike the ones that are about some cause of other and you have to prove what a good friend are because they bet icky a few of their friends will share it and show they care

barkingdogturfwar · 04/05/2022 23:32

'And just like that' seems to be featured heavily to announce every boring milestone.

'I was today years old when'

Narwhalelife · 04/05/2022 23:41

@SleepingStandingUp there is a mum from the school that is forever posting this, usually followed by a ‘I now know who my real friends are’ graphic. 🙄 quiet honestly my eyes disappear in the back of my head

OP posts:
JoeGoldberg · 04/05/2022 23:45

The ones where they post a big long copy and paste thing about some cause and then at the end it says 'I bet you won't copy and post this on your wall' or 'I need just 5 friends to copy and paste this on their wall..'

Themilkyway97 · 04/05/2022 23:51

Can't believe my baby is (years old) today
Where have the years gone?
How are you (years old) already?

Sheilaroundthefountain · 04/05/2022 23:52

I haven’t seen any pending yet but I’ll look out for them.

I hate over the top Happy Birthday messages to husbands, wives or kids that live at home, especially ones too young to have Facebook. Chances are you’re sat in the same room as them. Just say it, or write it in your card

Themilkyway97 · 04/05/2022 23:53

One woman on FB posts pictures each time she takes her DC to the hairdresser or barber and puts 'fresh trims'
I want to scream!

And when people say they are curled up on the sofa

SeagullBoss · 04/05/2022 23:56

This is why I have everyone on mute, then wonder why I only see posts from groups/businesses

And also “Please support my new business selling shite for ££££”

StuckInTheMiddleOfNowhere · 04/05/2022 23:58

People who take their care dc to the local park most days, take 50 photos of said dc on the same swing slide etc and upload them.

I personally have a friend who uploads over 50 pics a day of her 1 dc. Doing the same thing. Park, chosen sweets in shop. Tea time. Bedtime Book.

geojellyfish · 05/05/2022 00:02

"Hit me with your best x, y or z... Go!"

"Do x,y or z. You're welcome/you can thank me later"

IGaveYouMySnackPack · 05/05/2022 00:03

The absolute gullible idiots on my Facebook (only family) who actually believe THIS!!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

@Themilkyway97 yes!! I always imagine people in the fetal position on their sofa 🤣😂😂

@IGaveYouMySnackPack 🥹 yup - I mean come on

SocialMediaAnnoyed · 05/05/2022 00:29

"Anyone know the number for [insert takeaway/hairdresser/doctor/etc]?"

You could have googled it in less time than it takes to post.

Drives me bonkers. Agree with all the PPs too!
