I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 246 guesses with an accuracy of 43.50%. Played at www.redactle.com/

I really didn't want to Google but DH looked up a name when we'd ruled out most of the things in existence in the first paragraph.

I did not know what that was.

iklboo · 13/05/2022 18:50

Oh no! I'm so sorry. I wasn't thinking. I'll ask MNHQ to remove my post.

blardyblahblah · 13/05/2022 19:02

That was way beyond my pay grade, lots of googling. The relevant O'level just wasn't going to cut it! I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 156 guesses with an accuracy of 43.59%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Redactler · 13/05/2022 19:03

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 128 guesses with an accuracy of 44.53%. Played at www.redactle.com/

I had to go back many years in my mind to remember what the actual word was.

suckingonchillidogs · 13/05/2022 19:03

Pah - I'm just pleased I had enough words to cheat with. Wish there were different options sometimes, i.e. you could ask "based on my level of education how likely am I to actually get this?" Then it could provide another level, like Steps songs or something..

DressingGownofDoom · 13/05/2022 19:12

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 21 guesses with an accuracy of 66.67%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Short one today but I did google for the exact word

MozerellaSalad · 13/05/2022 19:12

redactle 37 11 guesses 72.73%

best ever

MrsLargeEmbodied · 13/05/2022 19:21

oh blimey
You solved it in 291 guesses
Your accuracy was 33.33%
You have solved 22 consecutive Redactles

MrsLargeEmbodied · 13/05/2022 19:22

not my worst

BIWI · 13/05/2022 19:27

JFC. Nearly gave up on this one today. No bloody clue what this was about! Lots and lots of Googling (and also fell foul of the singular/plural thing)

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 196 guesses with an accuracy of 37.24%. Played at www.redactle.com/

OhRiRi · 13/05/2022 19:27

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 82 guesses with an accuracy of 47.56%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Got it in about 20 when I actually finally got a useful hit 🤦‍♀️

What was yesterday's word? I'd wheeled out half my physics A-level but got distracted by work and didn't get chance to go back to it

YouLookinSusBro · 13/05/2022 19:28

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 46 guesses with an accuracy of 41.30%. Played at www.redactle.com/

I got the general area quickly, but google was required once I'd exhausted my knowledge. Would never have got the answer without as not a word I know

Foam.
Such a soft, innocent sort of substance to have such complicated physics!Grin

Please don’t worry! I was glad of it today 😁I’d have still been there entering things like ‘they’ and ‘when’ by the time it refreshed tomorrow otherwise.

I’d love this!

(my level of education is actually quite high, I’m not sure what happened between then and now though, because I’d probably still find the Steps songs quite challenging).

QueenOfThorns · 13/05/2022 19:39

Well this was a word neither DH nor I were familiar with, despite us both having degrees in a relevant subject Blush

(Said degrees were a very long time ago, in our defence!)

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 20 guesses with an accuracy of 85.00%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Glad I got distracted by work, I'd still be there now!

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 189 guesses with an accuracy of 62.43%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Caved and found a book to help me. I had heard the word when I finally came across it but I'm not sure I would have found it in a million years on my own.

Coord · 13/05/2022 20:23

Got to 82 guesses with 43% accuracy, thought I probably wouldn't know it, came to this thread to see how hard others had found it, then googled. Just as well, I didn't know the word.

GuppytheCat · 13/05/2022 21:33

Verdict from DS: ‘Mum spends all day thinking about words. It’s an unfair advantage.’

Peckhampalace · 13/05/2022 21:42

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 111 guesses with an accuracy of 58.56%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Had to Google as way out of my knowledge. Had never heard of it!

Have you asked DS what he thinks about all day?

(On second thoughts, you might not want to know what DS thinks about all day … )

AlisonDonut · 13/05/2022 22:45

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 18 guesses with an accuracy of 61.11%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Well impressed there, to be honest.

He’s not a teenager any more. It might be safe to ask.😁

WheelofLife · 13/05/2022 23:04

Am up to 194 words and have exhausted all the words I can think of in this field, so think I’m going to have to resort to Google. Have almost all of the first paragraph… just not the word that I want!
