I really didn't want to Google but DH looked up a name when we'd ruled out most of the things in existence in the first paragraph.

I had to go back many years in my mind to remember what the actual word was.

Pah - I'm just pleased I had enough words to cheat with. Wish there were different options sometimes, i.e. you could ask "based on my level of education how likely am I to actually get this?" Then it could provide another level, like Steps songs or something..

(my level of education is actually quite high, I’m not sure what happened between then and now though, because I’d probably still find the Steps songs quite challenging).

Well this was a word neither DH nor I were familiar with, despite us both having degrees in a relevant subject

Caved and found a book to help me. I had heard the word when I finally came across it but I'm not sure I would have found it in a million years on my own.
