I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 61 guesses with an accuracy of 47.54%. Played at www.redactle.com/

This makes up for my shocking play in Cemantle and Semantle today! I do have some knowledge of this area though.

BestIsWest · 13/05/2022 17:23

Had to Google - not anything I know.

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 74 guesses with an accuracy of 41.89%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Found this one a bit disappointing - got enough of the first sentence to know full well that I had no idea of the name for this thing so ended up googling.

You solved it in 87 guesses
Your accuracy was 32.18%

Yes... I knew what it was, just didn't know what it was called. I didn't do a direct Google of a fragment of text.

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 14 guesses with an accuracy of 78.57%. Played at www.redactle.com/

ScrambledSmegs · 13/05/2022 17:25

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 42 guesses with an accuracy of 61.90%.

I only got this because of the research I did for another Redactle less than a week ago. Am so chuffed, I'm clearly learning stuff doing this every day.

Joolly2 · 13/05/2022 17:27

Hi, could anyone private message me the answer to Thursdays redactle please. I started it yesterday and intended to finish it this morning, but just didn't get time to. I hate not knowing the answer.

I think we're fair game for "spoilers" as soon as the next one's up on this thread aren't we?
It was Foam (hoping I haven't misread the etiquette)

ApolloandDaphne · 13/05/2022 17:43

It is fine to openly discuss the previous days one once the new one arrives. You can't go back and complete it anyway.

MrsElm · 13/05/2022 17:52

I got it in 107 guesses. I did Google, certain terms as they were revealed. The answer was not something I have ever come across before. I have definitely learnt something 😏

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 103 guesses with an accuracy of 47.57%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Same as everyone else... worked out what it was about, had to Google for a name for it.

Yesterday I got caught up in trying to work out the equation. Then states of matter...

luciatrope · 13/05/2022 17:56

140 guesses, plurals on, google employed

Had never heard of it so wouldn't have got it without google, but was on the right track from the start (for a change!)

Neolara · 13/05/2022 17:57

Blimey. That one involved a lot of googling.

Breathmiller · 13/05/2022 17:58

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 96 guesses with an accuracy of 38.54%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Had to Google but got something quite early on that gave a good clue to Google. Not within my scope of knowledge.

MoonriseKingdom · 13/05/2022 18:01

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 198 guesses with an accuracy of 40.40%. Played at www.redactle.com/

I had a lot of words but have never heard the actual key word so used Google at the end

You poor soul. Flowers My dim memories of the physics of bubble formation in my chemistry degree 40 years ago make me very glad that I realised no too far in that the maths was probably unhelpful, and that once I got 'liquid', solid and gas were easy and then it had to be whichever of foam or bubble was the right length. Grin

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 75 guesses with an accuracy of 45.33%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Thank you google, I had no idea of today's.

Joolly2 · 13/05/2022 18:24

PortiaFimbriata - thank you so much, I hate mysteries.

TheAbbotOfUnreason · 13/05/2022 18:24

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 73 guesses with an accuracy of 56.16%. Played at www.redactle.com/

I got the key words in the first para again, together with a few others that told me what I was looking for, and resorted to Google for the exact word. I actually had it in 60 but for the singular / plural issue.

I, on the other hand, spent an hour thinking, it's a word for something with lots of bubbles in it...what on earth could it be? Until the penny finally dropped!

Chemenger · 13/05/2022 18:25

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 230 guesses with an accuracy of 47.83%. Played at www.redactle.com/

I don’t normally Google but that is not something I would ever have got on my own.

User12398712 · 13/05/2022 18:27

I think I might have to resort to google at some point. I know the area it is in but don't know enough to know if it's something I will have heard of or not. Very frustrating.

AliasGrape · 13/05/2022 18:34

@iklboo your post gave away the subject area which I don’t particularly mind but others might?

anyway as a result of that I entered as many related words as I can think of till I got a lot of the first paragraph then googled ‘types of *’ for the answer, so not a particularly proud achievement today. I’m grumpy and not well otherwise I’d have tried filling in more first.

I solved today's Redactle (#37) in 28 guesses with an accuracy of 67.86%. Played at www.redactle.com/

TheAbbotOfUnreason · 13/05/2022 18:38

It was covered in my degree but that was a long time ago - although I was definitely involved in the topic yesterday afternoon (I just didn’t realise!)

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 13/05/2022 18:42

I am waiting eagerly for my degree topic to come up. I think it will be a while...

GrouchyKiwi · 13/05/2022 18:43

I vaguely recall learning about this at high school. I needed some help to find the correct version of the word.
