Alternatives to MN

In light of the recent changes on here I’m looking for alternative chat forums on which to impose my opinions and wisdom (oh lucky them). Until MN sorts out the many issues can anyone suggest some good ones? Preferably not Reddit or Netmums.

Nothing compares.

I know - but there must be something that would do in the meantime?

I have resorted to reading books, and going down YouTube rabbit holes. TBF I was probably posting less and less anyway before the revamp.

OP sitting gleefully thinking the elders at HQ are crying over the loss. Seriously, its a xrappy website that makes money from people's over sharing and is viewed as a form of entertainment by the press and wider public. Maybe close the laptop and get a job, join the gym or just go for a walk. You might be able to find some real life people to talk to.

You should give Reddit a go. CasualUK is very funny and has general chat threads. There are a million subs to choose from.

But where else would a chicken feed squaddies for a week and a childs restaurant pasta lunches for days

Join some random bonkers fan/stan FB groups under a made up name and disagree with everyone.

Careful OP, they really don't like you talking about other websites on here! I'm moving towards Reddit a bit now, there are some funny parts to be found there.

I tried Reddit but didn’t really get on with it - might give it another go though. I like the range of topics on MN and the fact that it’s mainly women on here, it feels more than a community than Reddit does.

Perhaps you could fill your time going into shops and asking advice on which of their competitors they would recommend

I think Reddit is the closest equivalent but it isn't that close. But if you follow subreddits that interest you it can be a really interesting place.

And be able to discuss parking issues and boundary disputes.
