Alternatives to MN

In light of the recent changes on here I’m looking for alternative chat forums on which to impose my opinions and wisdom (oh lucky them). Until MN sorts out the many issues can anyone suggest some good ones? Preferably not Reddit or Netmums.

I have a lot of fine qualities, but sadly, patience is not one of them. I have been on here for more than 10 years though so I'm not ready to jump ship yet. And I agree with a previous poster that there is a community here; I founced once before and missed it, so I will bide my time for a while. I am going to be royally pissed off, though, if they don't bring Advanced Search back.

Nah, too much wrong with it atm. I’m sure they’ll sort it out all the many issues in time though.

There are no US based sites (that I'm aware of anyway) that even come close to being this interesting and entertaining. I found it years ago when googling something, I can't remember what (probably could find out if I could do Advanced Search because I have posted about it).

Totally agree. I've been here for 16 years. I don't really care what it looks like but I've seen many a tantrum over other changes they've made over the years.

There isn't anywhere else. MN is unique. Which is why I will stay, even though the new platform gives me the collywobbles.

Ahh, but this isn’t a change - this is a new site that’s lost a huge amount of functionality and doesn’t meet accessibility standards. Great you love it - many of us don’t.

anyway, rather than rehashing the same old given the myriad of other threads about the new site, I’m looking for recommendations for alternative chat forums. Got any good ones?

I think this is a question asked many times over the years - and the conclusion is: there's nowhere quite like home Grin. Give HQ a month or two to sort out the problems and get over your hissy fit.
