I tried the hints yesterday, but it ruined the game for me, back to blind guessing today!
I solved Semantle #82 in 105 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 2.41. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #28. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 32.69 (937/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

I have 995 (with the help of a hint which gave me a lower but still high green) but I’m still stuck 😳

I solved Semantle #82 in 30 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 27.01 (788/1000).My penultimate guess had a similarity of 24.05 (584/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Not a particularly good one today although I got it quickly it was a fluke, and wasn't thinking it was the word, but hoping it would give a clue. I didn't really see the connection and there were words I'd have thought were closer that were cold.

I feel so painfully stupid right now 😳

tried a hint for the first time as I’m very short of time today, it did help me as it was about the thing going one way rather than another (she said vaguely)

Got to 995 then I went for a hint thinking it would give me a lower one and it gave me 997, from whence I got it! I don’t think I would have otherwise, without more clues.

Well, I am so slow. I only discovered Hints this morning - I thiught people on here were referring to hints on the thread!

I needed them. Stuck on high ish greens that led me nowhere. Hints got me on a different path....

Gah, I had lots of high greens, but was stuck basically endlessly entering synonyms and near synonyms of my highest 995 when that really wasn’t the right track at all. After 106 guesses I went for a hint and then got it straight away. Annoyed with myself

Looking at the closest words list I do wonder how my path would have got me to the answer without using hints.

I agree! I really can't see the link between my first green (which was guess no 5, so I really thought I would solve it quickly today) and the secret word.
