I solved Semantle #81 in 80 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.48. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #17. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 9.99. semantle.novalis.org/

Trying to get my average below 100.

Got it, took me a while, had some odd greens around the 878 mark which did eventually lead me there I had to keep coming back to it!

I liked that one but almost 100 guesses to find a green.

Very odd - my second guess got 16.27 and I spent too long trying to think of words around that.

I tried the hints, which did help.

Argh, can’t paste my score for some reason so am blaming the delightful update. I solved Semantle in 68, and that was only with a hint. I think I was overcomplicating it!

Very pleased with that today, no hints, minimal googling of synonyms, and got the target from just looking at my top greens. And my average is coming down nicely 😀

the hint was a giveaway, gave me 996, and i simply changed the word. i did have 993 so i suppose i should be grateful

I’m not sure the hint function would help when I’ve got so many near words already

@MoonriseKingdom it's a synonym of 998, think about all the things it could involve, perhaps make it a bit personal.
