And so the madness continues! Here's our 9th thread to discuss, boast and rant about the game that is more pointless than Pointless, needs Masterminds to solve and will make Eggheads of us all, what with the amount of hair-pulling it induces!

That was a tough one, I’m mid-dog walk and it just came to me

I solved Semantle #74 in 102 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 11.02. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #6. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 5.76. semantle.novalis.org/

It can sort of describe some high 900s if that helps (in newspeak!)
Hmmm I'm not on the same wavelength, just getting colds.

I solved Semantle #74 in 52 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 6.79. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #9. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 29.45 (780/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Well! If I was told the winning word, the most similar word I would think of - from a different and I would say more usual context - isn't even in the top 1000.

I solved Semantle #74 in 77 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of -0.17. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #17. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 75.60 (999/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

I got there in the end. I don’t think I’ve every had so many high greens. At one point I though I’d definitely be solving it before 50 guesses. But I’m the end I barely scraped under 100 Blush

I got lucky and solved in 16 with no greens. Was on a totally different train of thought from the top 1000 though.
