Since weve almost managed to fill our 6th thread I thought I should start the next so we have somewhere to sc

If you're lucky enough not to know what I'm on about Semantle is a word game like Wordle. You need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics, not letters. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I've got lots of greens including 999. Is it a valid 999, like the closest green or am I just going to keep guessing along that idea and hoping?

I really don't understand why 995 is lower than the ones above it. But yeah keep going with what you're doing.

Finally! I also had a string of high greens before eventually getting there… (after lots of non-starters to begin with…).

I can say now what I was wondering yesterday, without it being a spoiler. I was trying to remember the past words, there seem to have been a lot in the Ps and Cs, I wonder if their “shuffling” of words is not as random as it should be.

Argh. I’m on 997 and still ready to give up because I can’t get any closer and I don’t know anything about the apparent subject area!
