Since weve almost managed to fill our 6th thread I thought I should start the next so we have somewhere to sc

If you're lucky enough not to know what I'm on about Semantle is a word game like Wordle. You need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics, not letters. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

We tend to use the threads to rant about how we're getting nowhere, celebrate our successes and laugh about the previous day's top 1000 but please, no spoilers. Subtle hints only here; use DMs for more obvious clues.

I solved Semantle #64 in 47 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 5.92. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #30. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 15.16. semantle.novalis.org/

I solved Semantle #64 in 299 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of -3.23. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #89. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 18.76. semantle.novalis.org/

Household is all still in bed so uninterrupted this morning. Still didn't make me get the word any more easily.

Pretty much tried everything but that, but many of my greens just wouldn’t have done it. Clearly!

Almost 600 guesses now and I have 926 and 898 in my 39 greens! Are they helpful?
I suppose an 898 may ... you elsewhere

Thanks @ErrolTheDragon for the hint, I got there now, that was clearly not suited to my mindset 😂.

I solved Semantle #64 in 611 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.03. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #31. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 6.64. semantle.novalis.org/

Got a green with my first guess which hasn't happened before although it didn't help as much as it should have

Mine was a complete fluke today! I only had 2 greens with the highest 528!

I’ve got 974, 865, 715, 697 and a couple of other greens. Around the 200 guess mark and VERY STUCK. Which of these is best to go off? Even better, can someone PM me a hint please? Much appreciated Smile
