Since weve almost managed to fill our 6th thread I thought I should start the next so we have somewhere to sc

If you're lucky enough not to know what I'm on about Semantle is a word game like Wordle. You need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics, not letters. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

We tend to use the threads to rant about how we're getting nowhere, celebrate our successes and laugh about the previous day's top 1000 but please, no spoilers. Subtle hints only here; use DMs for more obvious clues.

I solved Semantle #64 in 78 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 11.71. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #8. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 31.05 (960/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

My first green was number 2 and not that helpful, but I slowly got higher and in the 900s.
Eventually got fairly frustrated and just typed in a random unconnected word which was 997.

Ugh, I seemed to just guess it with random words rather than a particular path 😑

I solved Semantle #64 in 135 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 6.83. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #41. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 18.85. semantle.novalis.org/

Feel like I'm going nowhere with 950, 954 and 994 being my current top three. Feel like 994 is so close but have seemingly exhausted all synonyms to it. Have I missed something?

Oh for goodness' sake. I can't even get greens that the hints are about! Apart from 990 which seems to be unhelpful!

Also @Heronatemygoldfish - which lower greens do you have? I only had one when I solved it and that was 484.

I solved Semantle #64 in 228 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.78. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #71. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 28.53 (909/1000).

Much better today! Once I got my first green I was there.

I solved Semantle #64 in 48 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 5.70. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #39. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 27.30 (861/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

80 guesses in and no greens yet. I'm sat in a busy A&E waiting room hoping for a distraction from possible gall stones. I've already been told I look peaky, urgh.
