Since weve almost managed to fill our 6th thread I thought I should start the next so we have somewhere to sc

If you're lucky enough not to know what I'm on about Semantle is a word game like Wordle. You need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics, not letters. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I solved Semantle #63 in 224 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 8.21. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #34. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 30.80 (883/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

I solved Semantle #63 in 240 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 6.04. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #57. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 46.50 (993/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

My only green for ages was 914 making it very hard to get to the answer.

993 is a guide but it’s specific type

In the UK we tend to use [the answer] - related to 993 - in a very specific way

#5 was green but took me another 140 guesses to get answer, eek! Not very slow, though, so pleased enough.

Still can't get higher than 975. Arrgh!

You might ask the 1000 if they are an 837 of something particular.

Didn't get 992 but got 993 so presume they are similar... keep thinking of synonyms.

992 and 993 are almost opposite, but 993 is much closer to the target!
