Since weve almost managed to fill our 6th thread I thought I should start the next so we have somewhere to sc

If you're lucky enough not to know what I'm on about Semantle is a word game like Wordle. You need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics, not letters. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

We tend to use the threads to rant about how we're getting nowhere, celebrate our successes and laugh about the previous day's top 1000 but please, no spoilers. Subtle hints only here; use DMs for more obvious clues.

Well that was rather fast, I didn't even need to look up any synonyms or hints and it's taken about 10 minutes of frantic typing. I guessed lucky.

I solved Semantle #63 in 82 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.78. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #52. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 34.18 (941/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Didn’t quite get it from the clue @InMySpareTime but thank you! It did bump me up and then it was only a couple more greens until I was there.

I solved Semantle #63 in 75 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of -1.51. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #27. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 37.52 (967/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Felt like I was flailing around in the dark with that one. I went down a very British track, thanks to you all for hauling me back again.

I solved Semantle #63 in 97 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 14.03. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #41. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 41.64 (984/1000).

@BabbleBee the clue was never going to get you all the way, but should have got you to 890 in the right sense which is progress.

I had a bit of a breakthrough and found another track. Once I got the right theme it was relatively straightforward 😁 I solved Semantle #63 in 119 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 7.20. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #3. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 24.60 (540/1000). semantle.novalis.org/
