Being curious how many of you are thinking to vote Labour in May election just as a revenge to the superiority that carried by Tory?

I haven't done my research yet, so can't say certainly I'd do it. But they're lots of things we are not happy with the local council. Usually may not warrant a change of vote (probably just not bother to vote). But the whole partygate thing made me almost determined to vote Labour in May.

Tory didn't care what the public feel or think, carrying on to find excuses for their corrupted government. And that guy, that guy who's born as a natural lier, I can't even bear to hear his voice anymore. Something needs to be done, when their party refuse to change or at least show the public their remorse. I feel I need to do something.

How many of you feel the same?

I don’t know - if they are willing to look is on the eye and say black is white, then bully and threaten anyone who suggests otherwise, how can they be trusted with anything?

Bromse · 13/03/2022 18:27

I always vote Labour, nothing to do with 'revenge' but will be glad to get the current lot out of government if possible.

cherryonthecakes · 13/03/2022 18:32

I can't vote Labour because they don't know what a woman is and that's even worse than the shit that the Tories have gotten up to. Sad but true.

I would love to vote for some opposition but there's isn't any Sad

KittenKong · 13/03/2022 18:36

They do know - but they have chosen to lie (and in my book the very worst type - they know that you know they are bullshitting - and don’t even believe it themselves - and yet they persist in fibbing!).

Toofuckingearly · 13/03/2022 18:44

@MyKingdomforaNameChange

I will consider voting Labour when they can tell me what a woman is.
This 100%

In my opinion the shit that the Tories have got up to is more important.

I don't think some people on here realise how deeply many women feel about their rights being eroded and safety being compromised.
It may not be a priority for you but for many women this is truly frightening.
I will not vote for a party who is willing to ignore reality and make the life of my daughters unsafe.

Absolutely, well said

The thought of it impacting my dd makes me feel very strongly too

TonyBravo · 13/03/2022 19:04

I'll vote labour. Not that it would make one iota of difference here, we're in a very safe Tory seat and have been for yonks.

SmellyOldOwls · 13/03/2022 19:09

@LaQuern

I shall be voting Labour.

Every election where everyone is still refusing to vote for them because they don't know what a woman is, is an election won by the Tories.

Yes. And the Tories are no friends of women either.

You do know that Boris Johnson was ready to 'Let the bodies pile high' and partied whilst the rest of us were in full lockdown, right? He's also prepared to give Gavin Williamson a knighthood and has been hand in glove with Russian millionaires for years.

All this Labour 'don't know what a woman is' makes you all sound pretty ridiculous imo.

I disagree. Defining the word woman underpins our rights. It’s crucial to women’s rights not ridiculous.

This!!

It's also about reality. Any party that promotes ideology over reality is pretty terrifying to me. It is not going to make for good law making.

See lysenkoism.

Quote "All this Labour 'don't know what a woman is' makes you all sound pretty ridiculous imo."

Thank you for your opinion there are obviously alot of us ridiculous women, maybe just maybe we have a point?
And as long as us ridiculous women exist we will continue to do what we can to protect the rights and safety of girls and women.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/03/2022 19:32

Do you have any data for how many women/girls have been hurt by trans women? I suspect it's a hell of a lot fewer than women and girls have been hurt by men. Are you campaigning to get rid of all men too? Will voting Tory help you there?

To reduce a decision about who to vote for down to something as lacking in subtlety as "Labour don't know what a woman is" is frighteningly reductive.

DistaffSide · 13/03/2022 19:33

Labour is for the penis people. Nobody in my family will vote for them over this shite.

Whatdidisay · 13/03/2022 19:35

Posted too soon.
And seeing as women are threatened, doxed, sacked and vilified for being concerned the one thing we can do is not vote to a party that supports self ID etc

bellinisurge · 13/03/2022 19:36

Labour voter since 1987 until Corbyn. I will not vote Labour until they get their shit together over safeguarding and fairness for women. Until then, I will spoil my ballot

Nobody is trying to get rid of Trans people? But any penis haver wether trans or not should not be allowed in Womens safe spaces. And yes there is plenty of examples of crimes committed by TW who offend at the same rate as men...... maybe that is because..... 🍆

It is fundamental rather than lacking subtlety

I couldn’t feel more strongly about protecting women’s rights. To not do so is to regress

Jansobieski · 13/03/2022 19:44

Lots of middle class right on women who are not affected by austerity, government corruption, increasing poverty and widening inequality, happy to waste their vote in protest knowing they won't be affected by the worst of tory policies. I don't necessarily agree with self ID but there are some bloody awful non trans women in government who are harming far more women like Priti Patel and Liz Truss.

Good point.
Rainbowshit · 13/03/2022 19:50

Do people feeling us we're ridiculous think it's in any way going to change our minds?! Most people have reached this position after years of reading up on this subject.

Rainbowshit · 13/03/2022 19:53

I'm actually quite amazed that anyone thinks the position that policy and laws should be based on reality rather then ideology is ridiculous. 🤔
