Mine is ankle. No idea why, I’m sure there are better ones!

Yesterday's answer - not the most efficient but keeps it fresh

pigalow · 12/02/2022 19:57

Don't always start with the same word. I like ones that give a clue to how the eyed might end so use cough, pluck, hairy quite a lot

DaffyDaydream · 12/02/2022 19:57

Try to start with one which has 3 vowels e.g Arise, Ideal, Alone

You were lucky today then.

Query (no idea why but it's always worked) followed by poind

I was surprised "poind" was accepted. It's a term from Scots Law.

It’s the word I used first the first time I played when I didn’t really know what I was doing but it works for me

@Letsnotargue

Sport. I’ve never failed to guess it within the 6. I’m sure the attraction will wane when I do.
I'm assiming that everyone posting here has too? I've done it in 3, 4 and 5 too.

Given the wide range of words here it probably doesn't matter what you pick?

It varies really , I find myself thinking of 5 letter words when I can’t sleep

mathsquestions · 12/02/2022 20:13

It’s the first two words that count.

Adieu isn’t so useful as even if you get the vowels you’re going to have to reuse them in the next word.

Best tip is to have two opening words which cover all the vowels once each and then use as many common consonants as possible.

thatsnotabadger · 12/02/2022 20:14

Flump. Not that helpful but makes me laugh.

OrangeBananaFish · 12/02/2022 20:15

It has R, S and T (all common Consonants) along with A and E (so two vowels)
