Hello!

Anyone else fancy a thread where we write and share a haiku daily?

I used to write a lot of haikus. I find they're a good mindfulness exercise 🙂

I've just started writing them again about my baby son but will try to branch out into other topics.

Here is one from last night. Distracting the boy with a toy boat while putting him in pajamas (he's a wriggler). Title in bold.

Tug Boat
A toy boat sailing
The blue ocean of your sheets
Night night tiny boy

Endless , so tired
Relentless demands from high
I’m thinking I’ll go

The curse of cheap chocolate haiku

Sugah cravin’ hubs
Why he now want it so much?’
Hate sound of chewin’.

I missed yesterday
Work always gets in the way

Brit awards last night
Never heard of half of them
I am getting old.

That's not fair to Brits

Queue for a blood test
Then walk through the bright fresh air.
From dark into light.

We found a round stone
With two tiny circle eyes.
We drew on a smile.

Also thanks @NotInMyFrontGardenYouDont he's been a little better. We cosleep but he's often up every hr anyway... And I am so uncomfortable in bed! Grumble

Red, red wine is fine.
But gin and tonic with ice
And a slice is NICE.
