Daily Haiku

Hello!

Anyone else fancy a thread where we write and share a haiku daily?

I used to write a lot of haikus. I find they're a good mindfulness exercise 🙂

I've just started writing them again about my baby son but will try to branch out into other topics.

Here is one from last night. Distracting the boy with a toy boat while putting him in pajamas (he's a wriggler). Title in bold.

Tug Boat
A toy boat sailing
The blue ocean of your sheets
Night night tiny boy

The rain is beating
On the pavement as I walk
My sweet boy Ragnar 🐕

Pile of cabbage stalks
Pie baking in the oven
Our baby laughing

Aw what kind of dog is Ragnar @LadyLothbrook Great Dane? 🙂

So that guy I liked?
He doesn’t feel the same way
But it is his loss

@LadyLothbrook i take it you're a Vikings fan lol. I just finished binging it last week and felt such a loss!

@Honourofgreyskull ... Big Vikings fans yeah. Thought it was a phenomenal series. Will definitely miss it. I didnt want to name him Ragnar, we actually put a load of names in a hat and pulled out Ragnar so it was meant to be.

Just back from a wet, fun dog walk:

Squelchy mud oozes
Around my children’s wellies
I think I’ll join them.

It's fun but a bit tricky
I should go to sleep

My heart beats faster
Oh so high anxiety
Let me rest I beg

Your chin on your chest.
You snore. I reach slowly...but:
"Hey, I'm watching this!"
