Live parking!

We have parking at the rear of our home - there’s six garages and space for four cars to park. Someone has parked across two of the spaces (one is where I park) and the only place for me to park and not inconvenience the other two cars belonging to residents is to block the CF car in.

We live right in a town centre so people do often park there and get really arsey if confronted. There’s a big private sign so it isn’t as if they don’t know.

Anyway, is it too early for wine?

Do it. Then drink so you can't drive!

How will they even know who's space it is? If they knock say it's your partners but they have gone out. Back in two hours so suggest they go back into town for a coffee sorry you cant help then slam the door.

I knew plenty of people who damage cars in these situations

Very annoyingly I cannot see what’s happening from my house. So updates will be a bit shit

I am a bit concerned about damage - the CF car is massive and a bit knackered. Might have to nip round and take a photo of car and reg just incase

Btw I'm not advocating damaging anyones car. My sister had all her windows smashed for parking on a public road outside a very aggressive mans house. So being blocked in is the least of it

My favourite time someone parked there was when I returned from school drop off (and found a car full of ladies just getting out.
Me: hi this is private parking - you will have to park elsewhere.
Them: oh we’re just going to yoga, we will only be about an hour.
Me: I need to park there.
Them: but we’re not going to be long.
Me: fine, but I will block you in and go to work in London. You’ll get your car back at around 8 tonight.

The swearing from them was epic. They moved their bloody car though.

But yes, block them in, but take photo of car and plate in case they damage your car.

Have you put your number on your car?
Even though they have parked on private parking, if they've been blocked in then they can call the police.

Keep them blocked in, but put your number on the car so they can contact you. Then, when they call, say you're in the bath or something and they'll need to wait an hour or something.
