I'm usually open minded about these things but it appears that they've admitted that she doesn't have fertility issues but her schedule was too "hectic" to fit in conceiving a baby.Wtaf.
Sorry but this seems very wrong

Nick Jonas and Priyanka welcome baby girl 12 weeks early mol.im/a/10428475 via dailym.ai/android

Sorry for the dm article

Don't be ridiculous she's part of an agency who offers surrogacy. Do you have any idea how much she'll have made carrying a child for a celebrity couple?!

betwixtlives · 22/01/2022 11:10

OP do you realise all the info you got from that article is from ‘a source’ and not something priyanka said herself? Ie made up

Etinoxaurus · 22/01/2022 11:13

I’m astonished at the focus of the article. 27 weeks is so early Sad

MintyGreenDream · 22/01/2022 11:14

Yes I realise that but if they don't come forward and deny it then it must be factual.If that was me I'd want the actual truth to be known.

Yes I do. Selling babies and risking your life is still a desperate way to make money @KurtWilde

Lunde · 22/01/2022 11:19

I wonder how they are going to parent together given that their hectic schedules don't give them enough time to get together for the conception

Soffit · 22/01/2022 11:20

Well, it is well known that she was regularly visiting a world renowned fertility specialist in Central London over the past year or two. Her mother is a doctor and was accompanying her to the visits. She may even have been papped but many people saw her freely coming and going from there.

Maybe in some circumstances, but not in this one so stop acting like she's some poor woman dragged in from the streets because she isn't.

Can we focus on the very early term baby girl here rather than the method of her conception? Her health is more important than all this disgust over surrogacy, and her parents will be frightened for her so have some bloody compassion.

I agree. Poor woman.

Based off other celebrity surrogate costs and surrogacy agencies in california, not a great wage for the area. You are unlikely to be set for much more than a year unless they paid her far far above average costs for renting her body.

Janesmom · 22/01/2022 11:23

@Omicrone

I don't have any strong view towards surrogacy as long as all parties are willing participants.

Define 'willing participant'.

If surrogacy is so great, then why is it never rich women that do it?

Odd comment. Rich women don't work as cleaners or on supermarket checkouts either.

The fact someone does something primarily for money doesn't mean they should be prevented from doing so just because someone else doesn't like it.

EishetChayil · 22/01/2022 11:23

Another newborn removed from the womb and given to others. What a traumatic start to life.

Pinkstars2501 · 22/01/2022 11:23

@MintyGreenDream why must it be factual if they don't publicly deny it?! What a weird thing to say. So by that logic, because some random can go to a paper (the DM of all places) and say it, it must be true??

You may want to if it were you, but they aren't you. They don't owe you or anyone else an explanation. They may have issues they haven't put out there, because it's nobodies business but those involved. They may have been through all other options to conceive. They also probably know that whatever they say will be picked apart anyway so why bother?

I'm not a fan of theirs by any stretch, I don't follow them at all and I only know her name because I have Endo and read an article on her years ago.

FannyCann · 22/01/2022 11:23

@KurtWilde I suggest you watch #bigfertility

Trust me. The people making the money aren't the surrogate mothers who are risking their health to do this.

It is not uncommon for surrogate mothers in the USA to be left i. A worse financial situation than they were before the surrogacy as their medical costs for post surrogacy health issues won't be covered by the commissioning parents and in some cases the CPs leave hospital bills unpaid as happened to Kelly in the film.

The money they are paid is also taxable so that $30k begins to look a bit less.

The health risks of pregnancy and childbirth increase the more babies you have and surrogate pregnancies are higher risk than naturally conceived pregnancies due to the baby being from another woman's egg and the body rejecting it like a transplant so the woman has to take drugs to prevent rejection/miscarriage in the first trimester.

Soffit · 22/01/2022 11:25

Anybody who has lived/worked around LA would confirm that it is a financially predatory culture involving long chains of people. This applies in all industries, not just the movie industry. Everyone takes a cut until the person who bears the actual risk (pool boys/surrogates/stunt doubles) have relatively little to show for it in terms of bank balance. The NDAs ensure that they cannot even mention the celebrities involved.

FannyCann · 22/01/2022 11:26

Here's an article about how to save money on surrogacy - top tip - choose an inexperienced surrogate mother who won't be able to stand up for her rights.

@KurtWilde that high horse you are on is making you put your head in the clouds rather than seeing more clearly. Why SHOULDN'T people focus on the mother? You have to be in a really sad position to rent your womb. The baby will be getting the best medical care available, let's hope the same is true of the mother.

MintyGreenDream · 22/01/2022 11:26

@Pinkstars2501 calm down are you her publicist?

You might also like to get your thread title changed by MN, OP. JOE Jonas is married to Sophie Turner, it's NICK Jonas who's married to Priyanka Chopra.

Also regarding the woman saving money on her surrogacy expenses she discussed about how she saved money on medical insurance with the second surrogacy. For various reasons she decided that medical costs were low in early pregnancy and so arranged to pay direct until 24 weeks and then instigate a policy.
She was lucky. That was a massive gamble. If her surrogate mother had had a septic miscarriage or pulmonary embolus for instance she could have found herself paying out huge amounts.

Justkeeppedaling · 22/01/2022 11:30

@ConstanceL

That's shocking, it's not like she is a heart surgeon or anyone else important or saving lives/making the world a better place, she is a c-lister so how could she not take 9 months out of her 'busy' schedule, I doubt anyone would have noticed!

You don't even need to take 9 months out.

Lesperance · 22/01/2022 11:31

No @Janesmom yours is the odd comment. Nobody every writes in praise of how great it is working in a supermarket or as a cleaner. Plenty of people are out there say how amazing it is to have a baby via a surrogate. And yet rich women never do it as far as I can tell. Yet it is this wonderful, giving act blah blah...

Pinkstars2501 · 22/01/2022 11:35

@MintyGreenDream

I just find your logic of "well if they don't deny it, it must be true" from a story you got off the Daily Mail and their historically accurate "sources" to be a bit bizarre.

"Are you their publicist"....well if I don't deny that, it must be true!
