I don't know, but reading it must have given me a sertonin boost because it made me laugh. It's from the Frido website by the way.

I thought Michael Urdang was in charge. I must take a look re: James the Hangman ... still giggling like a school girl - that 'profile' is Soooo Soooo funny Grin

@danblack87, Michael Urdang and James Fellowes are co-founders of DICT8. Michael Urdang is a doctor of medicine and James is a businessman.

I emailed them about the note box, as mentioned I would, this is their reply,
"Thank you for your suggestion.

Unfortunately paying for text in the notes box is not possible.

If you feel you have a clinician dictating extensive notes, please let us know – we do ask the clinicians not to do this."

Whitestar55 · 07/01/2022 14:39

@danblack87 Oh no, hope you recover soon x

@wendules60 Thanks for sharing. Perhaps they shouldn't encourage clinicians to dictate notes for the notes box at all.

Note to DICT8: Providing my services free of charge is not possible.

@Wendules60: Nice try from you anyway ... Yes, I shall certainly be informing of copious notes in the Note Box - I shall take every opportunity to do so .. maybe then something will be done ????

@wendules60 - I emailed them last year about not being paid for the notes box, and therefore the proof readers having no legal right to be able to comment on what we write. I don't think they really understand the issue.

I think 2 notes boxes would solve it, one for us to use and the other for dictators, which ought to be paid for.
More boxes DICT8?? you know you like them!!

@Gally123 I think they are fully aware and it's a planned business 'execution' Grin

By the by, there was some advice given about tasks that were 'quite frankly' rubbish (on the forum here, in the 'bad, duplicitous days) and we were advised that if we just inform DICT8 they would be happy to receive e-mail notification of such tasks. I tried that - the response from Dict8 Admin was to 'put such task back in the task list - if I did not wish to/felt uncomfortable with it/couldn't do it .... someone else will pick up that task 'eventually' ????? SOOOOooo we will await comments re: copious notes --- it seems more like 'lip service' to me - not optimistic!!!!!!!

@danblack87, Exactly, this is what I and others have said previously, that there is always somebody who will take the work, even ourselves, when desperate and they know this.

My last post was regarding the notes box messages in particular, by the way.

Gally123 · 07/01/2022 15:05

@danblack87 - I thought DICT8 themselves had emailed round to say to inform them if there were any really bad dictations - obviously if they have changed their minds on that they must have had sooooo many people email them in about the rubbish on the system

@Whitestar55 sorry I meant I don't think DICT8 understand how much it rankles with us about the notes box and not being paid for it, and then having feedback comments that we missed out a word and did not put the message exactly as dictated.

Hi @Whitestar55: I understand it was about the Notes Box and I am all for notifying 'copious notes' situation to them ... I just think I would get same response (although 'behind scenes - in house they may try to rectify) It still doesn't give me much hope though Sad.

@Gally123: Dict8 did e-mail around but it was only after someone stating that you can talk to them derr derr derrr.

So, just looked at my task list today. Decent amount on but I am still not up to it to, unfortunately. I hope there will be some on for weekend when, hopefully, I will feel more up to it. Today, for me is just a catch-up day on other things RE: my house needs cleaning and have to do it a bit at a time between coughing fits. Hoping you are all having a good day Smile [tea]

Oy yeah, just one more thing from me. Dinner was good yesterday BUT, unfortunately, I got distracted ... Has anyone ever burnt baked beans? Luckily, it was a last minute rescue so they weren't burnt just about 20 were stuck to the bottom of the pan LOL xxx
