@Knitmum2022 just a tip, no one mentions their real name on here for various reasons. The pay can be around what you would earn as a medical secretary if you put the hours in, I get distracted too easily doing other things 🥴. Dictate will send you instructions of layout etc., but it’s all very straightforward. Be prepared for a lot of feedback at first and try not to let it worry you, it’s the same for everyone but it will get less as you become established 🙂

Thank you @Chrissols getting excited how sad I know. Can you remember how soon From your agreement to getting info is it via email or post?. Thank goodness for this thread. Just hope I won't be a nuisance

@Chrissols - thanks. It was much quicker last month I think. I requested it on 1 May (Sunday) and I thought it was sent Tuesday but still waiting.

Hi all, I am back ... I have had such difficulty getting back into this site what with new computer, moving house and then moving back again. I have been able to read the threads though!!!

I sent my invoice to Dict8 on 01/05 and received my cheque on 05/05!

@danblack87 Welcome back Dan, I hope the move went well.

Work with Dict8 has been really good for me past 3 weeks ... don't want to speak too soon, however .... Derrrrr ++ no adverse feedback!

@Whitestar55 : The move was not great ... been with my fella 8 years so we thought we would go for it and move in together - however, long story short, we are still together but back in separate houses NIGHTMARE!! Too used to each others' own space xxx

I received my transcriber manual this morning via email and I'm now live on the system have been looking through the format template for typing I presume this is just done on a word document?

Hi, with DICT8 you type the letter into the field on their platform, it has a few basic Word functions.

Slow day today for me :(

Oh my goodness got my first dictation. 5 minutes from a consultant who's English was not the first language and it was so hard to understand and interpret. An hour it took to type the report. Dreading the feedback!

Got another 8 jobs- my speciality is emergency medicine/general medicine.

How many jobs on average does everyone get in a day?

@Knitmum2022 standard dictation I'm afraid 😫

@knitmum2022: Letters to type on a daily basis vary radically ... I can type as little as 3 and as many as 50 ... dependent upon what is in the task list, the quality, the length and whether I am doing other things!!

Either I am going mad or none of what I have typed today has made any sense 🙄

@Meha5a : I am getting that feeling too ... you are not your own!! Loads of tasks as well and just keep getting stuck!!

@danblack87 loads on mine too. I think we might have the same specialty, if so, you have my full sympathy today and everyday !!!!
