Stupidly hard work quiz (help!)

If anyone remembers previous years my work sets a stupidly hard quiz for us to have a go at every Christmas. This year's is no different....

I've managed to complete the first 8 puzzles myself but now I'm stuck Very frustrating as I've got the gist of the puzzles but can't figure out what the answer is!

Here's the first one and here's my answers. If anyone can figure out the final answer (two words 5,7) I'd be ever so grateful 😊

You’ve tried “quotes, century” right

Is the answer usually quite obvious in a way or completely unrelated and needing a lot of investigation?

Quiz setters sound like bastards! Can you tell us the sort of thing it was last year to help?

Oh twenty from the 20th is just 20 quotes from the 20th century

I don't think anyone is struggling with that bit

Tried all suggestions for the answer so far but no luck.

I've never been able to guess or work out the final answer solely using the clue at the top. Always have to solve the puzzle which then gives you the answer.

So another similar puzzle the answers spelled out "entry two in list one" and the second one in the sequence of the first answer was the word that unlocked the next round.

They are designed to be frustrating and make your brain hurt!

Rather than the characters that said them, do the numbers relate to the actors?

I thought that but no I don't think so. Would be difficult to get to letter 19 in Tom Hanks for example.

The numbers 1-20 are all listed at least once in the answer key - that doesn't seem random. Do they link back to the films?

@ApocalypseNowt is the answer THERE somewhere or would it require further investigation "off the page" as such?

Like is the information you have all you need or do you need to do further research...like looking up information on the movies etc

Usually solving the puzzle does it so this one the answer will be revealed using the 20 answers we've already got, I think

Seriously, ignore the overall 'clue'. It'll get you nowhere! Usually only makes sense once you've solved the whole puzzle!

Not sure if this is really asking for help and quite strange you are so invested in a work quiz. however, as a start you could either post a correctly orientated picture or the question itself

One of them seems to be Yippee-Kay-Ay, Motherflipper, John Maclane, from Die Hard, but the film title has the words the wrong way around.

are your colleagues working with you on this or competing? is there a way to bribe/swap answers?
