I really miss the Phileas Fogg snacks from around the 90s, particularly Punjab Puri and Mignon Morceaux… god they were good. Also Frisps if anyone remembers them. And NikNaks before they went dry and biscuity. Anyone else?
@Thatsplentyjack, omg I remember the frozen strawberry mousse! Haven’t thought about that for years. I wonder if anywhere still does something similar?
I've mentioned it on here before and someone told me where they thought it might be from but then I lost the thread and forgot!

Thatsplentyjack · 06/11/2021 22:40

@BeyondMyWits

Cremola foam... a little tub of powder you made up into a foamy drink

And old English spangles ... always missed.

Aw I loved cremola foam. You can still get it on ebay but I'm a but iffy about trying it.

Also jey tots. I know they still do them and they are OK but they are nowhere near as good as they used to be.

Wee little fondant covered synthetic cream desserts with a ghost face that were only sold in Kwik Save in the 90s, I would love to have one again.

RicherThanYew · 06/11/2021 22:54

Whopps, I forgot Milkybar choos, they are fabulous.

Whattheduck · 06/11/2021 22:59

Cabana chocolate bar
Fuse chocolate bar
Lush wafer biscuit bar
United biscuit bar
M&S cheese and coleslaw sandwich
Pacers
Puff crisps
Walkers cheese crisps
Gino Ginelli tutti fruity ice cream

Popsicle33 · 06/11/2021 23:00

I remember reading that Secret bars were discontinued because they were too messy & the cardboard holder was too expensive. I loved Bitz or Blitz bars. Orange or mint crackly pieces

foxgoosefinch · 06/11/2021 23:00

Omg Phileas Fogg! The taste of being allowed to stay up for pre-dinner nibbles at your parents’ dinner parties in the late 80s. Loved those things!

Askeys do a version of Ice Magic - you can get it in Sainsbury’s.

I miss Cabana chocolate bars - my mum used to eat them when I was small. Plus the original versions of Cadbury’s Animals with the ridges and the proper chocolate. Old-style Cadbury’s generally. Ringos, and Golden Wonder crisps. Those party biscuits with the puffy pink marshmallows on top. Jordan’s Muesli Bars. Pyramints. 🥲

Wow another Cabana fan! They were like gloriously coconutty sawdust. In the very best way 😍
NannyR · 06/11/2021 23:03

In the 80's my grandad used to buy rich tea biscuits, but they were very thick, the same size and shape as a farleys rusk, they were delicious - I've not seen them on sale for a long time.
Also, as a child we used to have a hot dessert called Creamola - it was a powder that you mixed with hot milk, sort of like a thick, stodgy custard that you sprinkled with nutmeg.

maddy68 · 06/11/2021 23:04

I live in Spain. I so miss gravy !

VincaMinor · 06/11/2021 23:05

Coconut boost

TeethingBabyHelp · 06/11/2021 23:13

Thank you so much @NotMyCat and everyone else for the tip off about those panda biscuits! I'll definitely be hitting up b&m tomorrow to try and track some down!

And @Blizy you got the real deal! My whole family will be put on full alert for checking aldi shelves at every visit

Hesma · 06/11/2021 23:19

Chicken and mushroom toast toppers… yum!

Dorkwillow · 06/11/2021 23:19

Aww I watched the program about crisps on channel 4 a while back and was devastated for a while that I couldn’t get these, pickle/vinegar crisps have been a real craving while I’ve been pregnant and these always had so much flavouring!

Hm2020 · 06/11/2021 23:22

Puffs crisps

foxgoosefinch · 06/11/2021 23:25

Also something my mum used to make in the late 70s and early 80s - packet Florida Spring Vegetable Soup. My dad hated it and said it wasn’t men’s food 🤣 but I loved it. Not surprised you can’t get it any more - it must have had enough salt in it to stun a horse.

ISpyCobraKai · 06/11/2021 23:28

M&S Whisp yoghurts from the 80's

Much more recently, Muller coconut yoghurt that was full fat and didn't have artificial sweeteners in it, I swear they only made it for about two weeks and I can't find an alternative anywhere.

forestsmurf · 06/11/2021 23:28

@TeethingBabyHelp

Cartoonies. Nobody ever remembers them but they were little bags of biscuits; sort of glossy with a cartoon character on with chocolate in the middle

I'm pregnant and craving them BADLY. But you can't get them anymore. My body doesn't accept this and I think about them daily at the moment

I remember cartoonies, home bargains and b&m type places sell something very similar now called hello panda. A little red box with the dome type biscuit with chocolate in the middle , think they do other flavours too.
SaltedCaramelIcedLatte · 06/11/2021 23:28

@FrankiesKnuckle

Toast toppers and Worcestershire sauce twiglets.
Yes Worcestershire sauce twiglets...they were delicious
foxgoosefinch · 06/11/2021 23:29

(You can get something of the same name, but it isn’t like the original version which was more like a clear yellow salt bouillon with bits of dried vegetables floating in it. Yum! 😂)

Alwaysconfuddled · 06/11/2021 23:30

I’ve been gluten free 15years, I miss the most going into a chilly and having a sausage dinner. Sausage chippy chips, peas and gravy 😋
