I won’t be going next week (have to work….) but I’ll be there after that.

Want to beat my total park runs in one year (13 in 2019) and I’m up to 11 this year. And as it only started back in July I’m quite pleased with myself Smile

Who is heading out tomorrow morning? The dog & I will be tail walking again at our local parkrun.

Yep for sure. It’s meant to be dry thank goodness, it’s been a very wet week so it’s nice to run in the dry! I do go every week regardless of weather but it’s much more pleasant if you don’t get soaked.

I’m going!

My mum is joining me this week. Her first park run/ outside run at the tender age of 68. She isn’t a runner. She has been running every day on a treadmill this month in preparation for tomorrow. I can’t wait. I know she will be buzzing at the end- it’s so so so far out of her comfort zone!

I’m in absolute awe of her. I hope I embrace life as she does.

I have just checked the weather. No excuse there! I will get my kit out tonight. That definitely helps if I am looking at it when the alarm goes off.
Guardup big kudos to your mum. Hope she feels so proud of herself after.

I am volunteering for the first time as injured . They have put me down for scanning so little bit worried no one will get any times tomorrow. Hope it is idiot proof!

I haven't done that since the system changed and you have to do it on your own mobile. Please report back.

Run Director tomorrow so having a few wines tonight as I won’t be running. Hopefully the walk there will wake me up! Good luck to everyone who is running/jogging/walking/volunteering tomorrow.

@shakingmytambourineatyou I didn't like the idea of timekeeping on my phone (I do love a stopwatch) but was pleasantly surprised. I missed one though when a bunch came through, never did that one the old watches but I knew I'd done it! Hands were colder using the phone as I didn't dare put it into a pocket in case it got tapped on something accidentally.

I now am not working tomorrow and as DD isn’t volunteering at our local parkrun I’m
going a bit further afield and will be running by the sea Smile

I’ve done barcode scanning and it was nice and straightforward.

Scanning on your phone is idiot proof (I'm quite an expert idiot, but still found it very easy!)

I'm planning a bit low local-ish tourism tomorrow

That's good to know. Will do the volunteering again shortly if I have it on good authority that it's idiot proof Grin.

I'm running tomorrow. Usually run one week, volunteer the next. I've done the scanning a couple of times and it's very straight forward.

Looks like it'll be dry here - last time I ran it was pouring down!

I’m going tomorrow, it will be my third parkrun. I’ve been running a lot this year and my speed is improving. I’m aiming for sub 24 minutes tomorrow.

I've done the tailwalker a few times. Wish my dog wasn't mental so I could take it along! I love seeing the dogs there.

Sub 24? Wow. I wouldn't be able to do that if I went round on my bike!

Oh I'm glad this thread has been revived for this week, I meant to do it but forgot! I'll be going 😁

@Donatella

I'm going! It's only about my 7th or 8th, and I am very slow (about 38mins) but I love it! Although I'm currently in bed trying to motivate myself to get up and have some breakfast 😂

I'm even slower 😔 at approx 47mins

I tried Couch 2 5 K once and managed to fuck my knees for life.
Then I did the 30 day Shred for 90 days straight (I DID wear a knee brace but my knees were properly fucked now)
That was it for exercise and me.

I have exceptional admiration for all of you doing the park run because I know I don't have it in me. I am always in awe of anyone motivated to get out there in all weathers running. ❤️

Bar code scanning for me tomorrow. The app means this now my favourite volunteering activity. To the pp who is doing it tomorrow for the first time, enjoy, it's straightforward.

I'll be going tomorrow. No 48 for me. Hoping DS1 feels well enough too, he's got a bit of a cold. I always have to drag him out but he does enjoy it and has taken himself a couple of times when I've not been going.

I'll be going to parkrun, but I haven't decided whether to go to my regular one, my nearest one (which started after I'd been going to my regular one for a couple of years) or a newish nearby one that I haven't tried yet.

I’ll be going tomorrow. Think I’m running (well walking) with the tail Walker. My PB is 52 minutes but I’ve only done 1…. Hoping to be able to do alternate run/volunteer weeks. DS is very excited about volunteering for the first time - he’s on bar code scanning as well Grin
