I’m tail walking tomorrow, great to get the volunteer and run credit. It also means I can chat all the way round. I’m doing a 10k on Sunday so it is good to take it easy.

Not this week because I have a race on Sunday. I am thinking of cycling over for a cuppa though (they don't need volunteers).

I don't know if it's sad or brilliant, but parkrun and it's community is a huge and important part of my life.

@Iamanunsafebuilding

I'm volunteering at my parkrun this morning, being a marshal today. My favourite volunteer role is finish tokens, everyone is so pleased to see you!! We try and run it once a month and volunteer once a month, Saturday is my long run day so I don't go every week as I want to run further

I like to do my long run to parkrun, run the last 3 miles fast then have a cuppa and cadge a lift home Grin

I'm going to do a parkrun sandwich tomorrow.

Run to it, run the event, run back. Yes you have a couple of breaks, but it's a lovely way to do a long run

I cant do the run back. I've tried but I can't. I get distracted by all the lovely parkrun friends in the cafe and before I know it it's nearly lunchtime Grin

Enjoy everyone x

A very surprising 29.41 run for me today.

A fun night of gin drinking and 5 hours sleep obviously works for my running schedule.

Have a lovely weekend everyone x

I ran/walked - would have been u see 50mins if I hadn’t stopped to wait for 12yo DS who then skipped off and finished in about 48 Angry

Big turnout at mine this week, I was token 201 with at least a dozen people behind me! Waiting on my results email to see how my time compares to last week, fingers crossed for a PB.

Next week I'll be running on my birthday, would it be wierd to take little bags of haribo or similar and give them to the volunteers, with a note to say I'm celebrating my birthday by thanking them?

@Donatella That's a lovely idea. I'd appreciate it.

I found it so hard to get around today with my 5 year old in her buggy... but we did it. 2 runs to go until my 350th :-)

@Donatella I second that - an absolutely lovely idea.

Results are in and I got a PB 😁 38.39 down from 39.02. My first parkrun was 40.30, 10 runs ago so I'm feeling pretty chuffed today!

Fastest time since nice parkrun restarted for me today. Shaking off a rotten chest cold so very happy about that. Actually enjoyed the run today. It's a bit of a slog to get back to run fitness after an injury tbh

I ran to parkrun, ran parkrun and ran home, 9km in total. Was a lovely run and only 25 seconds outside my PB for my local course! My overall parkrun PB is Severn Bridge, is a really quick course 😂

Congratulations to all PB'ers! I had my equal fastest time since restarting parkrun yesterday, but it was a far hillier course than I am used to so I walked more than usual. Was slightly kicking myself when the results came in for not having tried a bit harder Smile. There's always next week, at home on a flatter course.

Donatella - that sounds a lovely idea.
