I was mainly talking about Facebook and social media.....

there are other messaging services other then what's app! Like normal text message, telegram.... email.... or phone each other.

It's a pity that the main 3 digital social networking apps are all owned by Facebook. Maybe we should learn from this.

Not me. My mumsnet ante natal group has been chatting on Facebook for years, I've met some of them in real life, consider them close mates and I don't have all of their phone numbers.

I've downloaded Signal and a few of my family have too, but it's not showing them as contacts yet, at think it's either crap, or it's struggling to keep up with demand, if maybe lots of people are doing the same.
