I hate travelling. Don’t like going on holidays and I don’t like staying in hotels.

Most people live boring average lives (myself included). So much feels pointless since we all end up in the same position in the end.

Life is dull most of the time.

Most marriages are like roommates with occasional sex thrown in.

And you? What uncommon opinions do you have?

I am more than happy to be invited to only the evening part of a wedding celebration. Even if it's a long way away. During the day there's always loads of hanging around, the food is usually a bit cold and a small portion and I don't like daytime drinking. It's also very difficult to find an outfit that seems right for a daytime wedding that is also comfortable to wear for a full day and also to dance in at night. If I was invite to the evening only in a different town DH and I could have a day out then back to our hotel to get changed and enjoy joining the wedding party in the evening. But this never happens because everyone assumes it would be insulting to ask someone to travel just for the evening. I have told friends who are agonising over guest lists that I would be happy to do this (not mentioning the expectation of crap food!) but I think they assume I am being polite

I hate weddings and don’t like parties either. More that 6 people out together is too many, you can’t have a proper chat because it breaks up into separate competing conversations.

A full English breakfast isn’t very nice unless you’re hungover.

You don’t need to wear knickers with quality tights if they have a “proper” cotton gusset. They stop in place far better that way as they adhere to the body.

Children are tedious, bad for the environment and have a high chance of ruining your body, mental health, career and relationship for little reward. I am consequently careful with contraception and if I got pregnant, would abort without a second thought.

Nationalism is rooted in xenophobia and tribalism. The SNP is no exception.

Junk food is great and I would happily live on it if I there were no health consequences.

Holidays to a resort where the point is just to lounge about in the sun are hellishly boring. If I'm going to bother with the faff of travelling, I want to go somewhere interesting and not too hot.

Going out for meals is boring.
Tea tastes like something that isn't even meant to be drunk.
Children do not come first in everything.

I can't abide 'light entertainment' or reality TV.

I really can't see what people enjoy about it.

I like weddings with children. Weddings are supposed to be family events. If someone specifies a child free wedding i generally think they're a bit of a dick and they think children are going to ruin their Instagram worthy wedding.

You literally choose what thoughts to think every moment if your life. If you are choosing to think unhappy thoughts, why? I am not ignorant to the fact people have problems, stress, bereavement etc but if you choose to think about how you are going to resolve the stress with confidence that you will get through it you can change your life for the better.

Bacon sandwiches and hot dogs (pork is so vile. The whole pig goes in a machine to make a hotdog/sausage) so to sum it up, that means its stomach contents, anus and genitals are all inside your sausage sandwich. Not to mention pigs eat their own poo and other dead pigs.

Having dogs on the sofa and bed and lying on the rug where the baby plays after it's been to the toilet and its wee and poo is going everywhere. So unhygienic and vile. And someone actually said to me when I said you shouldn't really have the dog in your bed, because her privates are going on your bed sheets after it's just been in the garden for a wee. She said no my dog is really clean, because they lick their bits after going to the toilet. I mean, come on. Really and then you let that dog lick your hands and face. Yuck. ........ would you let me sit on your sofa with no pants on after being to the toilet and not cleaning myself. Clearly that's no.
Zoos. Sometimes they make me so sad to see animals in small cages and enclosures. And yet people pay to go all the time. I love seeing animals in a natural environment and dogs in gardens running around and having a good time rather than cooped up in a house.

Larger families (3+ kids) are way more fun!

I loath summer time and heatwaves make me felt ill. So glad it's over for another year !
I'm not keen on beards on men or tattoos
Can't wear high heeled shoes ( but wished I could)
Not keen on dogs , but I do a good job of pretending I do if someone has a pet or two.

Keeping indoor cats is cruel.

I love winter. Not the winter of films (crisp autumn days or deep snowdrifts, though I love those too) but the real winter: rain, wind, grey skies, hail, darker mornings and evenings. I like being outdoors in it, as well as cosying up afterwards.

Not at all keen on summer, I'd be perfectly happy without June, July and August tbh.

Adam Johnson was an utter dickhead, but his sentence was way too long for what he actually did. It also wouldn't have been anywhere near as long if he wasn't a premiership footballer , given the middle class judiciary hate the footballers for being chav's that got rich.

Acrylics look much nicer than shellac / plain polish.

Six sessions of counselling is too few to help many people and the NHS should find this properly , ( starting point of 12 sessions via IAPT).

Calling someone a pig/ dog for having kids with different father's is disgusting.

Keeping caged birds , e.g budgies is very cruel and should be banned.

Male circumcision should be banned for cultural/ religious reasons, ( obviously should be provided on the NHS for those who need it for medical reasons).

Majority of the time people aren’t getting better from conditions like anxiety and depression because they aren’t putting the effort in. They expect therapists to just do it for them and don’t realise they have to work for it.

In the UK, political correctness is going way too far. People being reported to the police for their opinions on controversial issues (trans, for instance) or banned from talking about controversial topics at universities. I'm all for equality and diversity but I wish we would, as a society, stop asking for details on pronouns, gender identity, sex, ethnicity, religion, and sexual orientation. I'm not sure if it's an 'affirmative action' benefit any longer.

I agree two parents is the ideal but sometimes, there isn't a choice. My marriage broke down and I raised the children pretty much alone but co-parented with their EOW dad well. They are both stable, happy and secure. Maybe they would be even more so if the marriage had worked out but it didn't and staying in that environment would have been far more damaging.

I do agree with you on the blended family thing.

Blended families are selfish and benefit the adults not the kids. People don’t need to have a baby with every new relationship. People who show off cupboards full of cleaning products are sad cases!

My opinion is that anyone who thinks this is how sausages are made is a total idiot.

Also - all cats should be kept indoors. Then they can't kill wildlife and shit on people's gardens and they won't get run over.
