@OctFeb I’m the heaviest I’ve been for years.
Classed as obese on the BMI scale.
I don’t eat well at the moment.

Today I’ve had

A coffee
A breakfast wrap consisting of wrap bread with 2 slices bacon, an egg, a hash brown and a slice of plastic cheese with an extra hash brown on the side
A pint of fresh orange
A packet of kinder cards
Another coffee
Some chocolate nut and bean mix
A mini pizza with chips and salad

I said I would start eating better from today but I’ve not.

Annoyed at myself really.

@solitarytree I weighed this morning and my BMI is now 36!!! Can’t believe I’ve let it get to this....

SolitaryTree · 11/09/2021 23:47

@OctFeb It just sort of got there for me without realising how bad it had got!
Mine is about 33 at the moment.
I’ve been at both extremes but sat comfortably at about 22 for years.
Bit of a shitty time and eating seems to be how I dealt with it and now I’m in a rut of being overweight and not feeling good about how I look and then continuing not to eat very well to make myself feel better 🤦🏽‍♀️
Will try harder tomorrow!

MotherofPearl · 11/09/2021 23:56

FairyWings4 · 12/09/2021 19:35

I'm really surprised by some of these, it makes me think I eat loads! My diet seems quite carb heavy as cutting them out reduces milk supply Sad

For breakfast I had porridge (half water, half milk), lunch was one slice of toast, beans, salad (lettuce, feta and grated carrot) and halloumi. Our food shopping comes tomorrow so Sundays are a big use up day!

I had a satsuma mid afternoon then a haddock fishcake, oven french fries and veg (steamed carrot, broccoli and celery) for dinner.

I feel peckish again so will probably have some fruit and Greek yoghurt in a bit.

EileenGC · 12/09/2021 19:49

@fairywings4 you're feeding another human - of course you'll need more than the average person!

And I don't see that as particularly carb-heavy... Breakfast needs to give you energy for the day so of course it will contain carbs. Your main carb at lunch was one slice of toast - that's little, I normally eat 3 slices in one meal. Dinner the only one a bit heavier on carbs but again, I don't see that as particularly heavy?

I always have carbs as the main element of my meals - I could reduce the amounts but it's not unhealthy per se. Cutting out carbs isn't the magical solution for most people.

Gorl · 12/09/2021 19:50

Marmite bagel
Macaroni cheese and a slice of syrup sponge
Pumpkin spice latte
Scrambled eggs on toast

Gorl · 12/09/2021 19:53

Looking at that it’s shocking 🤣 I usually eat a lot of fruit and veg! I just happened to be out for lunch with family today and was busy either side so didn’t cook properly.

@FairyWings4 I’m also breastfeeding and it makes me so ravenous. Your day was much more balanced than mine!

It sounds like my ideal cheat day, I love Mac and cheese and syrup sponge.

I started Keto diet last Monday, I’ve done pretty well all week but I’m getting sick of cheese and meet, to begin with it was fun and felt naughty eating high far food, I wasn’t missing carbs at all until yesterday when I really fancied cake, so I ate 2 salted caramel muffins (one yesterday and one today) 🤣. I’m back on it tomorrow.

Today’s food….

Breakfast- a banana
Lunch- cheese, salami, chicken and salad. A salted caramel muffin.
Dinner - cheese and bacon omelette with salad. A fab ice lolly.
A vegan hot chocolate.

BeaFlowers · 12/09/2021 20:23

A toasted tea cake
Warmed up chips from last nights takeaway
A giant bag of walkers cheese and onion
Curry, rice and naan bread
And wine

FairyWings4 · 12/09/2021 20:40

@EileenGC I guess it's not heavy really, I just noticed that a few people only have small amounts. I just couldn't go without carbs!

@Gorl looks fine to me! I normally eat loads more, snacking is my weakness (biscuits, crisps, crackers and houmous, chocolate) so I'm trying to replace with fruit and veg based snacks :)

badlydrawnbear · 12/09/2021 21:12

This is an honest MN poster. Hats off to you.

I’m never 100% sure whether to believe those that count the number of raspberries they eat, weigh their cashew nuts or know how many sprouts of each different green their dinner contains. Who has time for that?

Remember on MN it’s all about competitive under-eating, and whether a chicken can last your family of 7 a whole fortnight.

NotMyCat · 12/09/2021 22:46

God mine was shocking today Blush

Breakfast - 3 crumpets with PB

cupcake
3 oat biscuits
4 squares chocolate
Spoonful of pasta bake I batch cooked
2 rice cakes with cream cheese

Tea - porridge with banana

Hen2018 · 13/09/2021 01:35

B - bacon, egg and fried tomatoes
L - grapes
T - shepherds pie and peas

Then made chocolate fairy cakes with raspberries in as we’ve got a glut.

Drinks - 10+ cups of tea, mainly rooibos or raspberry
