Nice food things from m&s

Home alone without kids for the next few days. Going to treat myself to a few nice easy dinners/snacks from m&s. Am ordering from ocado so not going to the shop

What would people recommend? I don't shop there often!

Cauliflower popcorn with Buffalo dipping sauce (it's the Plant Kitchen range)

Mussels and skinny fries. It's like being in a restaurant in France or Belgium.

Custard filled choux buns

The fruit - better than any other supermarket IMO

Oh and the Brittany butter with sea salt crystals.

The Jalapeno giant corn is ace. My current sparks offers are all foodhall stuff too - check your app before you go. Browse, indulge and enjoy x

The chicken stew and dumplings
Olive flatbreads (in the crackers section) with hard goats cheese, tomatoes, basil and a drizzle of olive oil
The baked in store San Francisco sourdough
The super green salad / pasta bows with pine nuts
The pink grapefruit cordial (with sparkling water it’s the nicest fizzy drink you can imagine)
The chocolate biscuits that are mainly chocolate
All of the crisps
The southern fried chicken fillets
The Brie
The smoked mackerel pate…

Oh and the vegan chicken Kievs are extraordinary.

That strawberry clotted cream they do is delicious.

What you seem to have missed is that ready meals are ready to eat, thus involving no cooking.

Not at all. Enjoy a Chinese takeaway now and then and some prepared foods at various supermarkets are very nice and reasonably priced.

I don’t understand the particular love for M&S (very expensive) ready meals, several of which we’ve tried on recommendations and we’ve always been disappointed. Sorry, we did find them bland and much overrated 🤷‍♀️

Oh god, I have just added £40 to my Ocado shop thanks to you lot.

The Chinese meal for 2 but I eat it all to myself

At the moment, the mega packs of lovely English cherries are one thing I go in specially for.

The fresh round garlic naans are brilliant, nothing like other shop bought naans.

Does anyone remember the triangle salad box with new potatoes, egg, coleslaw and chicken it was yum !!

I’m changed my eating habits, so my current m&s choices are the sorbet and frozen yogurt ice lollies, seeded wraps, rye bread, mega box of cherries, Italian instant coffee and the cremant de dordogne. Obs not all at the same time though.

They used to do bags of chocolate salted peanuts. I was unreasonably sad when they stopped making them.

Note that there's a wine sale at the moment and I got some perfectly drinkable rose for £3.50 a bottle!

The 6.00 stir fry deal is great value. Steak, lentil noodles, teriyaki sauce and veg. Also the tiramasu.

Not in Scotland- minimum alcohol pricing 😒. There is a nice Rose for just under £5 though which I assume might be the same one!

There’s a passion fruit Swiss roll which I have with double cream. If DH is very lucky I might even share 😂 The very chocolatey chocolate biscuits are ace too. However, I’m still miffed that they stopped doing my favourite fruit rock boiled sweets about five years ago. Bloody hell, those things were gorgeous!!
