Home alone without kids for the next few days. Going to treat myself to a few nice easy dinners/snacks from m&s. Am ordering from ocado so not going to the shop

What would people recommend? I don't shop there often!

Pulled pork sausage rolls, individual profiterole pots.

wannabebetter · 25/08/2021 20:28

The sun dried tomato & feta pasta salad and a wee tub of king prawns with Marie rose dipping sauce for me please!

QuestionableMouse · 25/08/2021 20:28

The mini lemon drizzle cakes are amazing (but they're out of stock 😣)

alexis4theppl · 25/08/2021 20:28

Layered tex Mexidip

dorothygaleandtoto · 25/08/2021 20:29

Oh my days I am salivating at this list of goodies!!
Their dark chocolate and orange magnum style ice creams are absolutely delicious.

MissyB1 · 25/08/2021 20:30

Buttermilk pancakes
Sourdough crumpets
Shortbread biscuits
Classic Prosecco
Walnut whips

triplechoc · 25/08/2021 20:30

The cheese! Especially the brie and the extra mature cheddar. Their version of Carr’s Melts cheese crackers are also delicious. And the mini bite tubs - choc rolls, millionaire bites, rocky road. Choc coated pretzels and cappuccino bars. So much deliciousness!

My dh has officially warned me that I need to “step away from M&S” Grin

I appear to have developed a habit 😬

User7458 · 25/08/2021 20:31

The lamb in the slow cooked range.

CallMeRisley · 25/08/2021 20:33

Cornish cruncher melty cheese bake thing with crusty bread and crudités

The hot nacho cheese dip with blue tortilla crisps

The new ombles yum-nut!

TunnelOfGoats · 25/08/2021 20:34

The dirty fries are amazing!! And also, their 'best ever' trifle really is lovely

You honestly think ready meals are nice?
We’ll, happy to be “one” then. Each to their own.

User7458 · 25/08/2021 20:35

Oh yes, the best ever trifle

AlternativePerspective · 25/08/2021 20:35

Lamb samosas.

In fact i took my newly qualified guide dog to M&S for the first time yesterday just so that I could buy them. And then I had some for my tea tonight. Given I spent 3 years too ill to go out and then a year in lockdown after heart surgery I consider it an achievement. ;)

Our M&S has a deli so am very definitely looking forward to going there to buy nice breads/cheeses etc.

I admittedly don’t eat ready meals but it’s a personal thing. I do remember though my DS bringing home some kind of pizza with Parma ham and salami and stuff on it and it was bloody lovely.

Justnipping · 25/08/2021 20:37

Marinated anchovy fillets with basil and parsley in the 3 for £7.

I'm sure there's a thread you could start where you and the food puritans can assemble to stare, piste-lipped at the repulsive heathens.

I cooked spatchcocked children with lemongrass and roasted courgette for dinner. I still like M&S food. Because some of it's delicious.

TheWashingMachine · 25/08/2021 20:43

Spinach and pesto salad, mountain bar chocolate, English muffins, gut health shot with turmeric and paprika prawns and they always have good raw garlic.

Carolinesyear · 25/08/2021 20:45

Oooh I love the "posh dogs" they are absolutely amazing and sometimes I drive the 40 mins to my not so local local m and s. Also partial to Percy pigs

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 25/08/2021 20:49

Their lemonade hasn’t got artificial sweeteners in it (for the purists who like their gin without them)

Moonshine5 · 25/08/2021 20:51

Snacks : all hand cooked crisps are good. Obsessed with habenero ridge cut crisps.
Brazil nuts are super creamy.
Meals : recently picked up frozen bao buns, duck burgers and plum sauce that was good and so easy. Their Indian range of meals is very authentic and deli coleslaw is remarkable.
Can't beat their giant fish fingers in a long submarine roll ditto their grill posh dogs.
Rib eye steak, creamed spinach.
Rectangle pizzas good too.
As are their ready made salad lunches like pesto pasta and supergreen salad.
Btw clearly I have a problem lol

jakeyboy1 · 25/08/2021 20:52

The hog roast sausage rolls mmmmmmm...

Papergirl1968 · 25/08/2021 20:53

I love their cottage pies and their beef filled Yorkshire puddings.
Oh, and their chocolate covered popcorn!

Not a food Puritan at all. I’ve tried several M&S ready meals on recommendation and was disappointed by all of them. Bland.

RoseRedRoseBlue · 25/08/2021 20:55

@Justnipping is the luxury eclair all it seems?

It's almost like people are different to each other and like different things.
