He was only 59. One of the funniest men on telly and radio.

It's hilarious! Mumsnet's "Janice" moaning about DH putting the bins out badly & how us girls come together for "him" when needed. He sends us up very accurately.

Oh gosh. I saw one of his shows where he alluded to being on Mumsnet. I thought he was taking the piss at the time. But actually, why wouldn't he be? Or at least his partner? If his partner is on here, I hope she absolutely feels the love for him that is pouring out from so many people. Massive hugs to his family at this time.

Unbelievably sad and shocked when I heard yesterday. I loved him on 8 out of 10 cats - it's one of my fave shows.

Just watched his tribute show. He was so genuinely funny. Such a shame.

I'm still really saddened by it, I hope his family and friends are coping well, I don't expect any shows starring him to film or release within the next few months

Yes he had skin cancer many years ago but it was caught in time and cured from it. I believe he died frim a different sort of cancer 😢

I've spent the past couple of evenings watching clips on YouTube. His A-Z of his clothes is brilliant. He gets to F, takes out a scarf and says this is my Fuck Me Scarf

I was a bit disappointed with the episode C4 had as a tribute. The Sean Bean guy wasn't great. They should have shown the one where Miles Jupp was feeding the whelks to Sean.

This is such sad news. I really enjoyed him and smiled every time I saw he was on TV - not many people I can say that about! I love that he was a brilliant comedian but he didn't have to be racist, sexist, ableist or offending any groups a la Frankie Boyle and Roy Chubby Brown. Well he did pick on Piers Morgan but let's face it that not completely undeserved

I enjoyed the stand-up episode on C4 last night. DH and I cried laughing at the segment where Sean criticises David Walliams’ reliance on fart jokes in his children’s books, and explores what it would be like if other children’s books had followed the same format.

Also unbelievably poignant in a couple of places where he talked about bucket lists and living each day as if it’s your last. I wonder if he was already ill then, or perhaps it was just natural middle-aged musings on mortality.
