Ghislaine Maxwell is the key to all this.

ResIpsaLoquiturInterAlia · 10/08/2021 00:38

Law and justice. Peace and equality. No one is ever above the law. I hope she is safe and “nothing happens similar to a billionaire with all to live for despite alleged hideous crimes suddenly drops dead!” Will all of the extended family members be complicit in any alleged cover up? Interesting….

How long before this thread is censored by the censorship committee???

The major issue is that far too many very powerful people want this story buried. The implications in the US reach senior political levels and into high profile industry ( I also wonder if it significantly contributed to the breakdown of a marriage Stateside) that’s without the Royal Family and all their buffers and civil service protections.

I think she is brave but ultimately will have to have some serious backing and not only in the financial sphere. I really feel for her.

I’m interested that there has not been a backlash against Sarah Ferguson who openly supports Andrew and seems to be everywhere at the moment.

I would imagine there may be some deeply unsettled individuals during Maxwell’s trial and what she may say. I’m surprised Virginia Roberts doesn’t wait until that case is tried. Does anyone know how long Ms Roberts has got until the statute of limitations kicks in?

memberofthewedding · 10/08/2021 00:53

The interview was sooo cringe-worthy. Especially at the end when he said he was asked if he now regretted his association and he said no! Here was his opportunity to (redeem himself somewhat) that looking back it was an unwise association which he now deeply regrets. And to express some sympathy for the victims. He came across as pompous and callous.

SpindleWhorl · 10/08/2021 00:57

@Fiercestcalm, from today's Independent article:

"Virginia Giuffre claims that the Queen’s 61-year-old son sexually abused her at Epstein’s New York mansion and two other places when she was under the age of 18.

"Ms Giuffre filed her case in New York federal court just days before the expiration date of a state law that allows alleged victims of childhood sexual abuse to file claims that would otherwise be prevented by statutes of limitations."

I don't think she was left with much choice, in that case.

eekbumbler · 10/08/2021 00:58

I don't think she will settle out of court. I should imagine she's been offered plenty of hush money before.

You don't take on the Royal family wanting your voice heard only to accept money when you have a lovely life anyway.

As for evidence there is 'that' photo already, plus the nightclub sweaty incident which was witnessed by others. There is the word of other girls that were taken to the island.

What was the documentary - Prince and the Paedophile - there is a lot of evidence in that alone.

Good luck to you Virginia. Bring it on, don't be cowed.

(don't drive through any tunnels though either)

newstart1337 · 10/08/2021 01:00

@SpindleWhorl

Ghislaine Maxwell is the key to all this.
I was thinking that as well. But will she ever live to make court and would she even testify.
sergeilavrov · 10/08/2021 01:02

Already got the anti-women brigade out not believing survivors, I see. Dreadful.

If he settles, that says everything we need to know. That interview turned me from a staunch royalist to wanting rid of the whole enterprise, and yes, the Queen will protect her favourite son which sadly makes her complicit. I’m sure we will have lots of British headlines focused on other royal family members as a distraction.

Ouch44 · 10/08/2021 01:07

This is very interesting. Behaviour experts analysed the interview. They didn't have much positive to say. Definitely doesn't look innocent

Duckypoohs · 10/08/2021 01:09

Let's face it neither her or ghislaine will get their day in court. Just not going to happen. People will cluck and fuss, then it will become a meme and forgotten, they don't even have to try anymore with the tiny public attention span.

Duckypoohs · 10/08/2021 01:14

I doubt ghislaine is even in prison

lljkk · 10/08/2021 01:15

I hope VR loses. Badly. Because I'm tired of Guilty until proven Innocent attitudes.

i don't care what happens to PA otherwise, btw.

I Wonder when this thread will go poof.

SpindleWhorl · 10/08/2021 01:17

That interview with Emily Maitliss was jaw-dropping in the arrogance oozing from PA. It certainly made me think again about a lot of things. It was rather an earth-shifter.

Once the Queen is gone, he's toast.

I wonder if H will have anything to say about him, or about being in the shadow of the situation, in his forthcoming memoir. It would seem an odd thing not to mention - but yet dynamite to raise it.

Duckypoohs · 10/08/2021 01:19

Why do you hope she loses? It may be guilty until proven innocent in the public domain, wasn't aware that had leaked into the legal one. If she has a case, she has a case.

newstart1337 · 10/08/2021 01:19

Can they even have a trial for someone who isn't in the USA? He is certainly not going to be extradited (not that I dont think he shouldn't face trial).

I think you'll find that the Queen is. (Or indeed, any reigning monarch.)
Famousinlove · 10/08/2021 01:24

I wonder if he's sweating yet

Hawkins001 · 10/08/2021 01:28

Following with intrigue

Duckypoohs · 10/08/2021 01:30

It just all gets made into a joke, hurdehur Prince Andrew can't sweat. Laugh and move on, nobody seems to see the murky depths of this shit. Yay the royal family are involved in sex trafficking, nevermind Kate has ditched the skinnies bleugh.

IdblowJonSnow · 10/08/2021 01:31

^
He's incapable of sweating, don't you remember?! Grin

I think she has a reasonable case. She's a credible witness. I wonder how many other people there may be who might have been bought out.

I don't think she'll take money st this point.

I agree with a PP that I now no longer support the RF since this came out. He is an absolute disgrace of a man. His daughters must be mortified.

StartupRepair · 10/08/2021 01:32

If the New York court finds against him, what jurisdiction do they have over him?

Duckypoohs · 10/08/2021 01:32

Prime example, it's become a meme a joke able event fml, they really have the best pr.
