It's a rainy Sunday and I'm surrounded by mountains of washing ! Looking at pictures coming out of Rome of Kittys amazing wedding to her rich gorgeous fiancé and feeling a tad envious Envy

@Panickingpavlova

I have think there is more to to be the trade, than that ^^Hmm

It's so bizarre how people judge others when it comes to an age gap!!
Kitty does not come from in a grueling country and extremely impoverished background where perhaps she would put money before anything else.

It's like women swoon over muscles!.

Yes. She only comes from a family that pushed a teenager Diana to a man double her age after an extremely short courtship. Has a philanderer of a father and does not appear to have much talent or prospects unless she marries well. So I see your point.

Pearl, Earl Spencer is Vile.
I got that sense. For all his lecturing of Prince Charles he was a worse husband.

Interesting that her parents weren't there.

I quite liked the dresses for what it's worth.

You'd think the Spencer's would have learned by now though.

@Brefugee

Vile seems an odd term to use for an item of clothing. Blimey, hold on to your knickers lady. I think it is an absolutely ugly dress. It is too big. The fabric is awful, totally unsuited for how it was going to be transported. The sleeves were over the top.

I did like the lace trim round the veil (or was it the train?)

It, for me, encapsulates everything that i loathe about people with inherited wealth and influence. Overblown and ugly.

So sue me. Her tiara was lovely, and she looked very beautiful. But her dress was absolutely meh.

Sorry. I know nobody is allowed to be mean about hallowed Di. But there it is.

This seems like a proportional response to one comment...

Anyone who describes a wedding dress as "vile" and "ugly" tells me a lot about that person. You must have led a very sheltered life if you think Diana's dress was totally original, it was simply a product of the times. My own wedding dress, while nothing like hers, was made from the same material - once again it's nothing unique. I've never been a Di fan, but I have far more class than to talk about something as personal as a wedding dress in such a way as you have.

Your comments tell me a lot about you - including that you have a huge chip on your shoulder about people with inherited wealth and influence. "Loathing" such people? Sounds like a touch of jealously to me!!

Kitty's mother was there, not her father though.

I think the comments about the dress actually tell you less than the comments about a couple choosing to get married. Hard for people to accept that they might just be in love. Age gap marriages can work out and they aren't all about money either.
