I thought Meghan's dress was lovely, and the veil was beautiful.

I am surprised if Victoria (her DM) did not attend. She is a sweet woman and they are (were?) close.
Less surprised about her father. Maybe my DH and markmichelle are from the same circle reading her comment earlier in this thread. Kitty is likely to crave a consistent, reliable male figure in her life.

It's not quite the same age gap but Jade Holland Cooper and Julian Dunkerton (mega rich) have a 20 year age gap and look very happy together - also guests at the wedding. In their "social group" it seems more "normal".

Her d&g dress is exquisite, she looks beautiful and elegant. Wish them no ill but the rest is a bit ick for me

Billionaires often are with much younger women & often it’s a love match. Something many miss. The erudite, older man becomes entranced with a beautiful, younger woman - often married to the ‘job’ previously & experience coup de foudre. Both are often sublimely happy…

Well the bride, the dress and the venue all look spectacular- I wish I had an invite!

My favorite recent royal dress was Beatrice. I didn't like how they put the sleeves on, but I assume that was a requirement for the church. The rest of the dress was lovely, and the fact that her grandmother wore it for an event 50+ years ago made it really special.

Also he is only worth about 80 million, so hardly a billionaire. She should have held out for Bill Gates if that was the goal. I think she loves him, she looks besotted to me.

I think my favourite royal wedding dress is Meghan's one. and her after-wedding dress was lovely too.

The age gap is just awful though. If my 30 year old daughter brought home a 60 year old groom, he'd be older than I am.

If he lives to be 90, they will have 27 years together.

Many couples divorce long before they get to that regardless of their ages.

For how many of those 27 years will he be fit enough to do and enjoy all the things (travel, hobbies, social life) that a woman in her prime will want to do?

Yes he was successful and fairly well off but certainly not in this scale and certainly not to me, absolutely no fripperies, fancy holidays... He was just so kind, wise funny, interesting and actually extremely attractive... And wonderful... I would have happily married him and had dc!
He still looks alot better than many men my age now! He also has a great life style...
