Just marvelling at my soda stream. We used to buy SO much sparkling water the amount of plastic was dreadful. I'm so glad I bought it! has really made life better.

Also my quartz worktops.... was a splurge but bloody hell my kitchen is a beautiful place to be now. I can't stop looking at them!

BUPA membership: life-saving.

I have a lot of vintage glass that gives me pleasure every day.

Marble dining table.

1000 thread count bed linen, duck feather duvets and pillows and heavy bed throws.

My child's favourite toy: £20 but DC takes it everywhere and loves it like family. Grin

Swimming pool. So nice to be able to swim whenever I want to, well worth the cost.

My cello. Pricey but soooo worth it.

My favourite book, that I have read 7 times. £8.

My favourite perfume. It makes me so happy.

Tickets to see Roger Waters perform The Wall in 2012. Expensive? YES. Worth every penny? YES!!!

pollyglot · 05/07/2021 03:05

One-way, business class tickets to the UK for teenage daughter and me. Wonderful new job, freedom from stalking and bullying by ex and dm, new DH, who's the best holiday souvenir ever. Changed my life, saved my life.

Don’t have sparkling water, Worse for your teeth than sweets As my dentist said

@Scaredycat87 I don't know what they said but no, it's just water. www.colgate.com/en-us/oral-health/tooth-sensitivity/is-sparkling-water-bad-for-your-teeth Maybe they were talking about fizzy drinks.

MrsEricBana · 05/07/2021 03:16

Hands down best money ever spent was on my beloved dog.

Gadgets - cordless Dyson & digital kitchen scales

Other - new bathroom

MouseholeCat · 05/07/2021 03:16

Seeing a therapist and getting CBT for my anxiety.

Insulated water bottles. I have a couple of different sizes, but they are my constant companions and it's so nice always having cold water.

My weighted blanket. I sleep much better with one.

A bidet and squatty potty for the bathroom. The feeling of a clean arsehole is phenomenal, and it's just more comfortable to poo with your legs up!

me4real · 05/07/2021 03:32

@MouseholeCat Oooh I was trying to think of what my best spend was but couldn't think. Yes, seeing a therapist for EMDR was well worth it.

@Scaredycat87 Sugary fizzy drinks I mean.

UniversalAunt · 05/07/2021 03:36

Dyson fan.

Quiet, efficient & stands close to the bed.
Makes for a decent nights sleep on hot humid nights.
Four years since purchase & its been worth very penny.

KTB19 · 05/07/2021 03:54

My weighted blanket and more recently, my 'Oodie' - it's like wearing a super soft fleece duvet and it's so warm and snuggly during the colder months. However, I do look like a giant walking square when i wear it but there you go.

JeansShirtJeansJacket · 05/07/2021 04:05

Plane tickets to Australia. We were nervous about moving here because it's so far away from home, but the life we have built here is fantastic. Best thing we ever did.

Wincarnis · 05/07/2021 04:19

Divorce - it got messy and expensive, but as my Mum said “it was worth it to get rid of him”

My dogs, couldn’t be without them

Classicbrunette · 05/07/2021 06:03

@DeePlume

My house. It wasn't my choice to move but had to due to divorce. I absolutely love my new house and it was a major turning point in changing my mindset after the split.
Same here. Love my cottage and the setting it’s in. And it’s all mine 🥰
shivawn · 05/07/2021 10:07

Travelling for sure! I feel so lucky to have seen so much of the world! Don't think I want to know how much I've actually spent on it though, it must be in the 6 figures! Blush

spiderlight · 05/07/2021 10:10

The adoption fee to the rescue for this plonker. He makes me smile a thousand times a day.
