Just marvelling at my soda stream. We used to buy SO much sparkling water the amount of plastic was dreadful. I'm so glad I bought it! has really made life better.

Also my quartz worktops.... was a splurge but bloody hell my kitchen is a beautiful place to be now. I can't stop looking at them!

10 sessions of hypnotherapy following a difficult medical diagnosis.

A private consultant appointment for more information about the diagnosis.

Kitchen aid.

A proper adjustable reading lamp from the RNIB shop. It's made reading so much more comfortable.

Beautiful, bright red, double oven range cooker. It cost £4k but it's so worth it!

BikeRunSki · 05/07/2021 14:44

£207 for my first proper adult bike when I was 16. I sold my christening premium bonds to make up the shortfall from my savings.

Cycling has bought me such adventure, joy and freedom over the subsequent 30 years. So many friends, including DH. Holidays in the sun. Weekends in the snow. Short, fast sessions to work through anger. Long contemplative sessions to deal with sorrow. Joyful club runs. Sunrises. Sunsets. Many, many cake shops!!

Claphands · 05/07/2021 16:01

A flight in a Spitfire, worth every penny!

Built in wardrobes by a very skilled joiner, no more wobbly doors or drawers falling apart.

Wincarnis · 05/07/2021 17:03

@spiderlight he’s gorgeous! absolutely worth it

Mummadeze · 05/07/2021 17:25

My weekly tennis lessons on Tuesday and Sunday. I live for them, just feel so relaxed and happy during and after. If I could afford it I would have one every day!

Yespresh · 05/07/2021 17:26

Reading through and mine is also laser eye surgery in 1996 and 1998. £500 per eye. I have only just needed to start wearing glasses again for driving.

Bubbles90 · 05/07/2021 17:30

Cordless vac and super king-sized bed.

Pinkandpink · 05/07/2021 17:36

Prob driving lessons, I had so many over the years as I was scared of roads

AuroraSophia · 05/07/2021 17:38

Water flosser!!! Teeth have never been so clean and healthy, not even with using an electric toothbrush for 10 years!
And like so many other our dog 💕

fudgesmummy · 05/07/2021 17:38

£450 nearly 2 years ago on a private MRI scan after my GP refused to refer me for one to try and get to the bottom of my back pain
I was diagnosed with Stage one ovarian cancer 2 weeks later and 3 weeks later I had major abdominal surgery and had a ovarian tumour removed that weighed 50lb

CliftonGreenYork · 05/07/2021 17:39

I had a gastric sleeve 3 years ago and now have a normal bmi.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 05/07/2021 17:48

Our cat - she is such a funny, loving, gentle wee soul, and cost me £30 in gift vouchers to buy something for the child who was terrorising her in her former home.

More recently, a pair of proper hairdressing scissors at the beginning of the first lockdown. I have a blunt fringe and they were a very good buy!

Mummabear89 · 05/07/2021 17:49

@ssd

Just googled, it just makes sparkling water
Actually there are syrups you can buy to add to the sparkling water to give them flavour.
MonsteraMother · 05/07/2021 17:50

Eufy robo vac - literally the best thing ever
Superking bed with storage under
Walk in shower - sooo much better than climbing over a bath or being in a little cubicle
Log cabin/garden Room - we bought ours from a kit and built it ourselves, it's insulated, double glazed has WiFi and electricity. Serves so many purposes and we love it!

Mere1 · 05/07/2021 17:54

Not to rain on your parade BUT granite chips easily and badly.

SirenSays · 05/07/2021 17:56

mdh2020 · 05/07/2021 17:57

Paying for our daughter’s MA which meant she moved to Leeds to study and finally realised that rubbish, controlling boyfriend was never going to commit.

Just wow - well done for refusing to take no for an answer!

Mine are far less impressive:
All singing, all dancing coffee machine and fancy double layered glasses - makes every cup feel like a treat

My house - we moved in two years and still get a thrill waking up here

Properly fitting bras - makes such a difference

JLL1990 · 05/07/2021 17:59

My dog’s adoption fee.

The £16k we had to pay on top of insurance payouts for his vets bills when he got sick.

My porcelain veneers Grin 😁

Our house

Prunellatron · 05/07/2021 18:04

The adoption fees for my pup. Worth every penny to get her over from Cyprus!
Private dermatologist, after a course of Roaccutane I finally have confidence in my skin.
And my dishwasher. I've never had one, and it saves me so much time!!

Thelnebriati · 05/07/2021 18:08

My comfy shoes.
My asparagus patch.

Toddlerteaplease · 05/07/2021 18:12

My nesspresso creatista machine. It was a life saver during lockdown and has saved me a fortune.
My cats. They cost me an absolute fortune, but are worth every penny.

SunshineCake · 05/07/2021 18:13

My dog ❤️

MadameOvary81 · 05/07/2021 18:13

Does my DS count? Several years of fertility treatment but worth every penny (when he's not tantruming!)

Oh, and my Phillips laser hair removal machine. Thanks to the above mentioned drama llama, I have no time to shave. Grin

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 05/07/2021 18:13

Laser eye surgery. I worked for boots and got a bogof offer. 😆
And a cross trainer bought in December 2019 that saw a lot of lockdown use
