Just marvelling at my soda stream. We used to buy SO much sparkling water the amount of plastic was dreadful. I'm so glad I bought it! has really made life better.

Also my quartz worktops.... was a splurge but bloody hell my kitchen is a beautiful place to be now. I can't stop looking at them!

That’s amazing - well done to you and your son xx

An Ooni pizza oven! I absolutely love it and have used it at least once a week since we bought it! It’s so easy to use and soo much better than domino’s! The bbq is pretty much redundant now.

Private therapy - it's been utterly life changing! It's the only thing that has helped me manage generalised anxiety disorder and live a normal life. Worth every single penny and in all honesty I'd have paid triple for the difference it has made.

My eyebrows. They looked so bad before and I kept drawing them badly? Done my research and picked a good lady to do it and they are good and I love them.

Paripale · 05/07/2021 19:32

Apple Watch - I love that I can run hands free (no iPhone to carry or strap onto my arm). Love that it also doubles as a phone.

Greengate quilts - really pretty and look lovely draped over a chair, hanging on a door or spread on a bed.

Endofether · 05/07/2021 19:32

Botox twice a year
Paddleboard - we use it all the time , it’s fab

bigbaggyeyes · 05/07/2021 19:33

Therapy
My first home, for the financial stability it gave me
DD's nursery Wink
My garden - I can go out there and pull weeds and pick berries with headphones in my ears/chatting to the neighbour and it's just magical. It's slow going but I see it taking shape year after year.

This is probably the happiest, nicest thread I've ever seen on here!
Our son bought an electric underblanket for us (mostly husband) for Christmas - love it. We both sighed and smiled every time we went to bed over the winter.
Travel French press coffee maker - gift from my other son; I use it daily at work.
Book subscription from Mr B's Emporium - you fill in a questionnaire online and they send you a book tailored to your likes & reading history - marvellous; not had a duff one yet.

The best money I ever spent was for the IVF treatment that gave me my little boy. I think the treatment cost £6500 in total. We were told we had to wait another year before we would be eligible for funding because of an early miscarriage that happened during the time I was trying to get pregnant but my age at the time was at a crucial point where the success of any pregnancy would decrease sharply so I didn’t want to risk it and fortunately I was able to save enough to cover the treatment anyway. After the treatment my periods followed a normal pattern for the first time in years and I went on to conceive my second child naturally on the first attempt. I think the ivf fixed a hormone imbalance and gave me the family I so desperately wanted. I feel so fortunate that things worked out the way that they did.

My larder cupboard was the best thing I brought. All my herbs, spices, oils etc. Visible as soon as I open the doors.

Tigger1895 · 05/07/2021 20:13

My iPad. Best money I’ve ever spent as I use it constantly.

Carriemac · 05/07/2021 20:15

'A pressurised cylinder for hot water when we replumbed our house- boring but we have brilliant water pressure even at the top of the house and loads of hot water- I really love a hot Bath!'

Wool filled duvets. The whole family have them…..no sweaty nights for us

mam0918 · 05/07/2021 20:29

@avidteadrinker

Laser hair removal on legs and bikini line …. No more stubbly legs, in grown hairs and waxing… worth every penny!!!
I had laser hair removal (brazillian and armpits) and its all gown back since lockdown - kind of wonder why I wasted the money.
Fififerry1 · 05/07/2021 20:29

Lens replacement. My 50th birthday present to myself. I read loads for my job and it has transformed my life. The thought of having perfect eyesight for the rest of my life is amazing.
Waffle duvet covers - no more tedious ironing of bedding.
House with south facing garden.
