I have left the curtains in the top bedroom closed to keep the sun off the room

Booked a holiday on the Amber list. Paid for our grown up children partners and the grandchildren. I was told a year or so ago not to infantilise them and they would enjoy camping somewhere cold and windy as much as the Caribbean.

Let my almost two year old watch toy story- over an hour of screen time! He was being a pain in the backside and I needed to get some work done

My teen is still asleep as we shared a bottle of wine last night in the garden and didn't argue with our neighbours as they were making just as much noise, and no one cared

We ate a whole chicken, me (56), DH (59), DD (17) and DMIL (89). A whole one, it must have been a 1.5 kg. I should have stretched it to another 8 meals but it was lush (and we only had salad and pitta with it too).

@vodkaredbullgirl what are these things called snacks you speak off? Are they carrot or celery sticks or cucumber?

I had a day off today and had a relaxing hour this afternoon sitting in our new hot tub (not an inflatable one!) with a large gin and tonic reading my kindle!!!

I let builders use our toilet.

I paid to have my house cleaned. Then I went back to bed at 10.30. Read a book then fell asleep!

I didn't work today because I couldn't be arsed.

I bought a Yankee candle from Home Bargains.

Tomorrow I'll stay in bed until late morning despite my dc getting up at 8 and sorting themselves out. Dh will get up (but then go out) at about 9.

I wasted 2 hours in bed when dc napped despite other bits needing doing round the house. Because i figured if I was upstairs asleep I couldn't see the mess downstairs.

Although I'm now going to do it when dcs are in bed

I had chatted to my neighbours builders, I even offered to move my car for them. They seem like lovely chaps.

Had an afternoon nap, cancelled a furniture collection from my house tomorrow, and am having fish and chips for dinner. DH and I both shattered and can't be bothered to cook, let alone from scratch.

DC3 (14) has been playing his Xbox for hours - and I mean hours. I don’t care. He’s happy chatting to his friends on it and I’m happy he’s happy.

I got my iron out and it is traumatised!

Changed my bed, didn’t wait until I had to sniff the sheets because they were changed last Saturday too. Not only that, I IRONED my clean bed linen before I put it on. And I care not a jot. 😇
