OMG chocolate discovery - where have these been all my life

I was given a box of chocolates for my birthday, have just opened then and I can't believe I have never tried them...

Monty bojangles berry burst - they are raspberry flavoured with popping candy, and so absolutely delicious.

Anyone want to share any other delicious discoveries ?

I was given Monty Bojangles Choccy Scoffy chocolates for my birthday too. I'd never even heard of them before. They are so good!

my recent discovery is Lidl dark choc bar with hazelnuts. Cheap and delicious#

cookiecreampie · 25/06/2021 21:07

Aldi Moser Roth truffle bars.

Serin · 25/06/2021 22:06

Lidl dark chocolate and raspberry "Magnums" the most delicious thing I've ever tasted. I've got a freezer full.

LlamaofDrama · 25/06/2021 22:07

Ferrero Rocher (bear with me) Pocket Espresso. Liquid coffee inside dark chocolate. Not the best chocolate, not the best coffee but if you keep them in the fridge, which is chocolate heresy, they're crisp in your mouth, the chocolate floods out and they are the best mid morning pick me up!

Papergirl1968 · 25/06/2021 22:10

My name is Papergirl and I am a chocoholic. Blush
Aldi truffle bars are indeed great.
Their caramel filled buttons are nice too.
And I love the M&S chocolate covered popcorn.
I found an ancient half eaten packet of the Crunchie bites, think they might be called Crunchie Rocks, in the fridge, and was reminded of how nice they are too.
Fry's orange creme bars can often be found in Home Bargains and they're lovely. Their rarer cousin, the strawberry version, are a bit too sickly in my view. Which is saying something as it's rare I find anything too sickly!

Ddot · 25/06/2021 22:48

Lindt balls, how are they cool in your mouth? The coconut ones are mind blowing

AntiWorkBrigade · 25/06/2021 22:58

I’ve heard about these legendary strawberry Fry’s bars, but never seen them. The B&Ms round here sell Fry’s Raspberry Cream, which is already rare and exotic (and delicious). The thought of there being another flavour out there waiting to be discovered is very tantalising.

Waitrose sell the orange flavour too.

Aldi does a knock off, they’re just as good.

@brittleheadgirl

Tony's Chocolate 😍😍😍

Lidl & Aldi's chocolate is pretty much all nice, far nicer than Cadburys, Thornton's etc

So agree, don't touch Cadbury's and sadly nearly all of M&S's chocolates went down the pan (yeuck palm oil).
HelloBunny · 26/06/2021 02:51

M&S Swiss Mountain bar is not what it used to be... But still better than Toblerone. The white one is nice too!

I can still taste loads of bars from years ago, in my mind. Remember those M&S ones with the mocha layers?

Ddot · 26/06/2021 06:06

What happened to galaxy and Cadbury chocolate its grim now but Aero have new one called dark its actually rather good. Not sure if my taste has mattered or chocolate has changed

Kittysummer · 26/06/2021 07:23

Seen these on offer in my local wilkinson 3 for £1 in the discount area

Sirecho · 26/06/2021 09:09

Monty bojangles do a great vegan chocolate truffle as well - a very popular chocolate choice in the dairy free mum's group I belong to.

dottiedodah · 26/06/2021 09:54

A little old fashioned maybe ,but love those Rose and Violet Creams ! House Of Dorchester do a lovely box for about a tenner .Online or can visit factory near Poundbury .(Prince Charles model village)

pam290358 · 26/06/2021 10:25

Probably very ordinary but dark chocolate Toblerone - the big ones. Don’t know what it is, but the large Toblerones always taste better. Probably psychological as it’s the same chocolate, but so yummy.

SingToTheSky · 26/06/2021 10:41

Ooh that reminds me I liked the toblerone that was in a sort of turquoise box. It had caramelised almonds in it I think.

pam290358 · 26/06/2021 12:06

@SingToTheSky. I remember that one. I think it was a limited edition and yes, there were some sort of caramelised nuts along with the nougat. My mouth is watering now !!!

ValancyRedfern · 26/06/2021 13:29

Co-op dark chocolate is amazing. The 80% cocoa is way better than the Lindt version. Also anything by Montezumas. Their lime and sea salt is to die for.

pam290358 · 26/06/2021 13:43

Green and Black’s dark selection. Individually wrapped tiny chocolate bars in different flavours. Salted caramel flavour is fab.

ImFree2doasiwant · 26/06/2021 16:00

@ValancyRedfern oh yes I discovered this in my local not a spar shop, it's the best.
