OMG chocolate discovery - where have these been all my life

I was given a box of chocolates for my birthday, have just opened then and I can't believe I have never tried them...

Monty bojangles berry burst - they are raspberry flavoured with popping candy, and so absolutely delicious.

Anyone want to share any other delicious discoveries ?

Tony’s stuff seems very emperor’s new clothes to me. I wanted to like it but found it both greasy and flavourless and the fact you can’t break it properly was extra annoying.

ScribblyBaller · 25/06/2021 09:55

I found Tony's chocolate to be really underwhelming too. Just tasted like supermarket own brand.

Thanks for the recommendation. Sounds like something I'd like. I used to love raspberry ruffle chocolates too

I've remembered another one I've tasted (I bought in Gloucester services, but you can order online) - Coco Pzazz, they do Giant Chocolate Buttons which are delish. Various flavours available.

Footle · 25/06/2021 12:33

@HelloBunny , Mozart's Balls in TKMaxx! I shall be looking out for them.

GlutenFreeGingerCake · 25/06/2021 12:44

I like Montezuma peanut butter truffles, they do a white chocolate version at Christmas which I think are called snowballs and even though I don't normally like white choc these were lovely, the salty peanut butter cuts the sweetness perfectly.

bendmeoverbackwards · 25/06/2021 13:04

Oh I forgot about Montezuma! Their chocolate buttons are to die for. Come to think of it, I wonder if it's those that the Everyman Cinema sell....

IntermittentParps · 25/06/2021 13:06

Ritter Sport milk choc with pistachios. Generally I prefer dark chocolate but there's something about this particular one with the pistachios… mmmm.
I do like the dark version too, though.

Marks and Spencer Belgian chocolate covered toffee popcorn. Sometimes they have them, sometimes they don’t.

And I still mourn the packet stolen from me by the Evil Gate Keeping Guardians at the O2. I know you took them out of your stolen sweetie box and ate them later, bastards.

Louloubelle78 · 25/06/2021 17:52

THIS....sorry slightly off topic, as it is strictly ice cream, but omg, bloody gorgeous.

Achill Island sea salted caramel fudge - it’s total craic cocaine!

diddl · 25/06/2021 17:54

I quite like Aldi smoove & Marabou chocolate.

T0pcat7 · 25/06/2021 17:55

@StrangeLookingParasite

If you ever come to Paris, or have someone who can buy you things from here, get some ganaches from Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse, Manufacture à Paris, in rue de la Roquette (near Bastille).

The best chocolate ever.

No need to travel to Paris, there is a branch at Coals Drop Yard in Kings Cross.

Cadbury Dairy Milk with crunchie bits, yum!!

Suzypoo10 · 25/06/2021 18:01

Montezuma’s milk chocolate bar with lime and chilli. Sainsbury’s used to sell it, but I have’t been able to get it for a while.

everythingissoexpensivenow · 25/06/2021 18:03

Reading this thread I remembered my son had a big bar of milk chocolate in his room. He has just gone away for the weekend. I took a big chunk (it's what he would have wanted) but, urgh; so disappointing - Sainsbury's milk chocolate, it was greasy, waxy and tasteless. I took another couple of chunks to make sure and yes, definitely awful. I can see why he left it.

Sadly wasn't worth the calories.

HollowTalk · 25/06/2021 18:08

Very unexpectedly - Co-op do a box of Fairtrade Prosecco Truffles - about £5 - and they are really lovely - taste like chocolate should taste. No palm oil, thank god.

UnluckyMe · 25/06/2021 18:08

Hotel chocolate raspberry and white chocolate batons are pretty banging!

WalkingInTheAir13 · 25/06/2021 18:09

Thank you @*MistySkiesAfterRain!

"*Waitrose chocolate covered/cocoa dusted goldenberries"
I received a free sample with my Waitrose order and they are divine but I had forgotten their name.

PolaDeVeboise · 25/06/2021 18:11

@SinisterBumFacedCat - I've just ordered from Chocolate of Glensheil, they look AMAZING.

DahliaMacNamara · 25/06/2021 18:17

Chocolates from this small trader are pretty good, especially the fruity ones. Worth looking at the website just to drool over. I'm not sure I'd order chocolates online in the warm weather, but they're sooo pretty lafleurdechocolat.co.uk/

peppermintpat · 25/06/2021 18:23
