Anyone else had changes to their cycle after the covid jab and want to compare notes?

I had the Pfizer on Day 8 of my cycle and currently 2 days late (BFN this morning so apparently not pregnant).

Anyone else?

Yes! Had 3 bleeds in 5 weeks after AZ. No idea wtf is going on, ordinarily I'm regularly but now I have no idea when AF is due at all Confused

I’m breastfeeding my 12 month old and hadn’t had a period until it came back four days after the Pfizer jab. Could be coincidence and we’ll see if another turns up this month but was strange!

Yeah, used to be like clockwork and have a usual period.

Now it’s all over the place with scatterings of lumpy burgundy crap.

Used to be able to set my watch by my cycle, now it’s a surprise.

(39. Both jabs, second a few months back.)

SmednotaSmoo · 19/06/2021 19:11

I was pfizered two days before my last period, which came on time, but this months arrived five days early which hasn’t happened to me for at least six years. I’ve reported to the mhra.

Glad I read this. I'm bf my 22 month old. Period hadn't come back and I've had the copper coil inserted since he was 10 months old, but since the first Pfizer vaccine I've had on and off breakthrough bleeding (never much to need a full towel but need a thin liner) for a few weeks. It seems to go away for a few days and then return again.
DolphinBlue1 · 19/06/2021 19:13

Yes! I had the implant in when I had my first jab then got it taken out and had the second 6 weeks later. I was told to expect to have a period straight away but didn't have one for another 3 month. Then I had a normal 5 day bleed and then was due on during the week but no yet come on but still got a BFN! It's bloody annoying when TTC!!

NotTodaySatanNotToday · 19/06/2021 19:15

When I had my 1st AZ vaccine I had no issues. I had my 2nd dose just over 4 weeks ago and my period is just over 2 weeks late. Not pregnant. Didn't realise the vaccine could cause problems with period.

IronTeeth · 19/06/2021 19:16

Mirena coil, and absolutely no changes at all

flightofthecrow · 19/06/2021 19:18

Had 2nd az two weeks ago..periods are now start, stop start stop ......but in peri so who knows!

CCSS15 · 19/06/2021 19:18

Pfizer - 5 days early which never happens

Roomba · 19/06/2021 19:18

I have had both doses of AZK - no issues at all. But I have read of loads of women reporting changes in cycles post vaccine. I think there is some formal research being done on it now?

mamaweebeastie · 19/06/2021 19:20

My period came the Thursday & got Pfizer Friday afternoon & the bleeding had all but stoped by Saturday. Late Sunday it returned but kinda clotted. Iv had a normal period since then & still waiting for my second jab so we'll see if anything happens next time.

Sillyotter · 19/06/2021 19:20

My period has only just finished after having my 1st vac on 21st may. Period was due early June but didn’t start until 13th. I do occasionally have oddly long cycles which seems to coincide with stress/illness. My period was definitely heavier and more painful than usual but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle.

Yodabrussel · 19/06/2021 19:20

Pfizer and also five/six days early this month and last month. Never been early, ever.

MoreRainbowsPlease · 19/06/2021 19:20

In the 8 weeks since my 1st Astra Zeneca jab I have had 3 periods and they have been extremely heavy with big clots, and my periods are normally heavy anyway. The last period I had I honestly thought I should probably go to hospital as I was flooding a maxi pad every hour as well as passing lots of £2 sized clots. This lasted for 4 days. Followed by 3 days of what I would call normal bleeding. I only didn't go because I am agoraphobic and couldn't get there. I have since had my 2nd jab, I am hoping things don't get any worse than last month.

hiptobeasquare · 19/06/2021 19:23

Yes. Had Pfizer and my period started 11 days early, totally random.

Vanishun · 19/06/2021 19:23

Pfizer. No change.

But I've had missed periods before from illnesses.

covidperiodchanges · 19/06/2021 19:40

Oh interesting @mumof1littlebun nothing in there about late periods though!

It's absolutely fascinating/really annoying (I'm TTC and it's driving me mad!)

Oh my! I did NOT put my recent weird periods down to that! I honestly was thinking I am peri-menopausal...I had Pfizer. Both Jabs. I went 2 months without one then 2 in one month....

Unikko · 19/06/2021 19:47

Was on period during first vaccine and had a bit of bleeding before my next period started. The next period very heavy/clotty then I’ve had heavy ovulation bleeding for the first time ever. Went to the Scott who said it’s just one of those things. Not convinced at all.

I'm 42 and my period is missing, I just thought I was becoming peri menopausal, maybe not after all
Animum2 · 19/06/2021 20:11

Had 1st jab in Feb with no change for the next two cycles but when I had 2nd jab I had a cycle at the beginning of May then literally 15 days later another one, still waiting for June cycle so maybe it is connected
