Pay with Dict8 continued

Hi all........

There seems to be plenty of work for me on Dict8 today .

@Gally123 - I am not going to chase them as I have plenty of work with Dict8. It was only as a back up to be honest so I am not that bothered if they get in touch or not. I just thought it would be more professional to let applicants know one way or another.

Hopefully Dict8 will carry on for a very long time

I have not had one single letter today. This has been the same since last week.

I have come to a standstill as nothing is moving in the first 5 for about 40 mins now ... me and my big mouth!! There are loads there though

Wish I could say the same I’m getting nothing!

Also just heard back from T-Pro. Assessment fine I’m booked in for my system training on the 16th. Girl is away on annual leave lol so booked in for when she is back! Hoooray finally.

@flutterby18 - I do not think any companies get back to job applicants any more, it is a thing of the past. Now, it is just the usual - if you do not hear back you are unsuccessful - one reason why I enquired to ensure my application was received okay as with computers odd things can happen (in the big world looking for jobs I if not online I always hand delivered a job application as Royal Mail would be sure to lose or delay it until past the closing date).

My answer to Tpro they probably want people closer to home and with so many people now able to do work from and wants to work from home Tpro can now pick and choose. Did the test the lady says she will get back but heard nothing back. As its mentioned the lady is always on hols. Happy with DICT8 steady flow of work but as mentioned its reassuring to have backup.

@Gally123 @flutterby18 Not only is it the norm that you don't get any sort of response to your job application, but I have been interviewed for two different jobs (one of which I got to the second interview stage where it was between me and one other candidate) and still didn't receive a call, email or a letter to say thanks for your interest but we've chosen someone else for the post. I've come to the conclusion that, no matter how far along the process you get, some employers can only be bothered to let you know if you've got the job and not if you haven't!

@Poppy379 - that's dreadful not to be informed after interview stage, very bad manners, so probably better off not working for such people.

@Gally123 and Poppy329: I agree, if you don't hear before interview stage they usually say "if you don't hear you have not been successful". To get to late interview stage it is absolutely bad manners. Arseholes.

Another slow few days for me on Dict8. I am waiting for my training with T-pro on the 16th and hoping I can make some good money with them. Are there any other dictation companies you guys can recommend? Thanks.

@ShanJG I had that when I started as I was logging on adhoc but now I worked out the days when it seems to be busy. I think its getting the timing right. Dont despair

How many specialities are you on cherry? I’m only in one at the moment I’ve kind of worked out the days and times but still very very poor. If you don’t mind me asking how much can you roughly make with dict8 on a weekly/monthly basis? I want to know if it’s maybe just the norm to be earning what I am currently. Thanks!

@ShanJG not meaning to be vague but I do enough to top up my tax allowance been on a small private pension so I am happy with the one but you can ask for more am told.

Yeah I have asked but they have said I can’t be added to more yet as I haven’t long started. Fingers crossed things pick up for me otherwise I’m hoping for good things with T-Pro.

Has anyone emailed Jan at Transcriptum and had any reply?

A reply that she would be back to me but that was a week ago.

@danblack87 so not very impressive seeming as though she gave the impression she needed typists. If that is an example of work ethics...

Personally, I thought "Jan" was very unprofessional the way she attacked DICT8. We all have our gripes on here about DICT8 (that is what this forum is for) but we do work for them and have every right to voice our opinion but "Jan" just seemed to jump on the bandwagon of those gripes. "Jan" has gone very quiet lately too, perhaps has had the hard word to keep opinions civil when it comes other companies

@carosel2 - I agree. I think as she had applied but been unsuccessful she felt justified in expressing herself. The way she suddenly popped up, said her piece, and now disappeared again is rather odd.

I can't help thinking 'Jan' was actually Dict8. I know she had a website but it was extremely basic and would be very easy to set up. There was very little information on there. It is odd how she's suddenly gone quiet.

@Lovemydaxie - that was my initial thought esp when I could not at first find them online but then once @danblack87 clarified it, I googled them and found the company had been set up for several years and indeed changed its name recently - you can see the details from Companies House. But still odd that she has gone quiet and not responded to anyone.
