@hiptobeasquare Cool is the most underrated song of all time.
Agree. Love this song. It's a shame it isn't played more, it's definitely her best.

Remembered another one. Jem - They

A few mentions for Billy Ocean here, how wonderful! 'Red Light Spells Danger' and 'Love Really Hurts Without You' are both fantastic, and what a stunning voice!
I would never have admitted liking this to myself as a cool, indie youngster, but am now catching up with the soul/R&B/disco music I neglected in my youth.

The First Picture of You by The Lotus Eaters always made summer more summery back in the mid 80s.

Also there was a cover of Somebody To Love and the video had these parachuting babies that were landing on a giant ladies boobs. I first saw that when I was off my tits on gas and air so thought I was hallucinating.

TreesoftheField · 18/06/2021 17:34

For Amy fellow 90s kids, I can highly recommend sounds of the 90s on radio2. They play very obscure stuff like sleeping satellite, weird how when the song starts you remember all the words.
I have particularly enjoyed 'Bodyshakin' by 911 recently!

TreesoftheField · 18/06/2021 17:41

Oooh!! Yes! My kids used to love that song as Dr Who fans. I actually did my basic training where that was filmed.
