The one that springs to mind for me is Daniel Merriweather, 'Painted it Red'[?]

I've often wondered why certain tracks are never played now despite being popular. I agree that many of those mentioned are played regularly on Absolute radio. Atlantic 252 - that's a blast from the past! Thank goodness for Spotify etc. now.

I'm now curious about Mixcloud that a few PPs have mentioned. I've never heard of it. How did you find all the old chart countdowns and programmes on there? Do you need premium? I've just made an account but I don't know where to start

Totally agree about this song. Why stations only play "China In Your Hand' is a mystery.

@WotNoLoobrush all I did was Google the likes of "Bruno Brookes/Tommy Vance/whoever top 40 80s" or "Radio 1 top 40 [year]" which led me to Mixcloud. There are various users who upload these old charts so I created a free account and followed them. I'm too tight to pay for it 😄
