Talking about his mental health. Starting talking is the hardest bit. I have to start the conversation and i cant. And i can usually talk for Britain.
I admire him.

@DelilahDingleberry

“ I'd like someone to publically ask him how he thinks his current behaviour is impacting his family's MH.”

Is that what we do to people who have been abused and neglected?

There is NO proof he was abused or neglected. Why should he say that when William had the same upbringing? He was clearly a very difficult teen and young man, into drugs and booze and risky behaviour. A nightmare for any single parent. All the evidence is that his father was very concerned and did what he could to help.

And don't forget that Meghan has not seen or spoken to her own father or siblings for a very long time. I just wonder if there is a connection?

I really dislike the weird frothing at the mouth animosity towards Harry and Meghan. I don’t think they always do the right thing but I genuinely wish them well. Honestly, some people act like a bitter ex that they’ve broken up with...so vicious in such a personal way.

He is being used the same way Diana was - for ratings and notoriety. He should know better than anyone how damaging these public interviews can be. I think he is very foolish and will regret this. However, I can't imagine how difficult life in the royal family would be and I feel really sorry that he lost his mum at such a young age and has struggled with his family.

Guavafish · 21/05/2021 12:38

Yeah he is good to champion mental health! I’m glad he has become more vocal.

But the who Megan and Harry opera interview was not necessary. Wish he and Megan kept those things private.

The UK press were disgusting and racist toward his wife.

Bluedeblue · 21/05/2021 12:39

With so many people living on the bread line, or worse, homeless, or even worse, living in war torn Countries, no, I don't feel sorry for Harry. He is one of the most privileged people on the planet. He has Millions in the bank, multiple mansions, servants to tend to his every whim, a beautiful wife and healthy children. He also has enough money to buy himself the best therapy that money can buy. To have all of this, and to be moaning "poor me", just takes my breath away, and shows how out of touch he is with ordinary people that have real troubles. Where can I buy the world's smallest violin?

Roussette · 21/05/2021 12:39

We’ve gone from ‘stuff upper lip’ to the victim olympics

What an awful comment. The 'stiff upper lip' leads to suicide, alcoholism, and damaged family relationships.
But hey... let's brush it under the carpet and pretend everything's OK shall we?

Shock
littlepeas · 21/05/2021 12:40

I opened this thinking you meant Harry Potter. I'm tired today.

Roussette · 21/05/2021 12:40

So anyone rich or privileged can't struggle with their MH, is that what you're saying?

Maybe that needs to be pointed out to those that do

Summercocktailsinthesnow · 21/05/2021 12:41

One day Harry like all of us will need to answer to his own children, and now they will have to live with the fall out of this.

History continues to repeat itself.

TheVamoosh · 21/05/2021 12:41

I think it's rather astonishing how the general public can be so outraged about the appalling manner in which Princess Diana was treated by the press - even holding the view that it contributed to her death - whilst simultaneously having zero sympathy to spare for Harry or his wife, who are being treated in a very similar way right now.

reprehensibleme · 21/05/2021 12:43

TheVamoosh, but they are putting themselves in a position which invites criticism.

LalalalalalaLand123 · 21/05/2021 12:45

TheVamoosh it's obviously because Diana was lied to and manipulated BY the press for its benefit - whereas Harry & Meghan are the ones lying to and manipulating the press for their own benefit.

Summercocktailsinthesnow · 21/05/2021 12:46

At this point I really hope Harry's friends will get off the fence, because Harry had a whale of a time drinking to excess and partying, it was not to drown his sorrows but to enjoy being young! And he really did know how to enjoy himself!
He has totally reframed the actual reality of those parties to suit I assume Meghan and his new narrative? Maybe it is uncomfortable for her to see him dressed up in certain ways without a thought back then. I had to drink to get over my bad judgement is more like it, I had to drink because I was young and it was fun. The tabloids really did not report on the half of it!!!

UpTheJunktion · 21/05/2021 12:47

Pretty shit that he has been saying the Press ruined his, and as a consequence his, life, and he has been vilified, sneered at, dismissed etc for all these years and now William has spoken out everyone is sitting up and listening.

I don't think Harry has handled the PR well at all, or helped himself by the way he has made his point, but so what? The public lap it up, greedy blood sucking ghouls that we are.

Summercocktailsinthesnow · 21/05/2021 12:47

thevamoosh The sussexes are being PAID to bare all. That is a pretty big difference I would say.

Roussette · 21/05/2021 12:48

How in god's name do you know that???? You don't.

I was similar to him at the same age, and I was not happy, I was struggling with certain issues which lead me to drinking too much along with other destructive behaviours.

LeilaLiesLow · 21/05/2021 12:48

I think it is obvious that he is being encouraged to do this by his wife whose own personal life is full of casualties. Look at how she treats her father.

How hypocritical. He wants privacy then spends his time laying into his father and the rest of the family in public to 'explain' his MH.

Yes, we all know money and status don't = happiness.
That doesn't need an Oprah interview.
We already knew he was messed up- the drugs taken , the booze, the naked games in posh hotels.
We had some sympathy for him losing his Mum so young.

But now he's ruined it all.

The public are not fools. On balance, they liked Harry.
They wanted to support him.

But he's gone too far. His poor brother and father are having to sit and listen to all of this. They can't respond or say he's lying, or that's not how it was. He is being an fool and will regret it.

I have watched 3 episodes so far. Its really good. The episode with the Syrian refugee children is so heartbreaking. I really feel for those kids.

queenofarles · 21/05/2021 12:49

I think Charles really tried to mend things with both his sons, don’t think he was a brilliant father to them when their mother was around , as is the case with most toxic separations/divorces. It’s always messy. But they seemed on good terms in the past decade or so.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 21/05/2021 12:49

Abused and neglected? My arse

DogsSausages · 21/05/2021 12:51

He looks full of anger and hatred, blaming his family for everything without them having a chance to put their side of the story is dreadful and so unkind. He should deal with his pent up emotions in private therapy , no good will come of his constant criticisms.

Samcro · 21/05/2021 12:52

Well said
Definately · 21/05/2021 12:53

I think it's become pretty clear recently that he's been very seriously affected by his mother's death and probably blames the RF hence the active destruction he's been wreaking on it. I'm not sure Meghan has done the right thing, if she has encouraged him to cut himself off from his family and talk about private matters on Oprah etc. Its hard not to have sympathy for someone who's basically spent their whole life surrounded by people who want to use them for their own self interest.
