Accused of posting on someone's LinkedIn...

Bearyhumcrack · 14/05/2021 06:58

I work in a public sector organisation and have been called in by my line manager to say that I have posted something offensive on someone's LinkedIn page and of causing offensive comments on twitter. Confused

I have a LinkedIn account but don't use it much, I do remember following and unfollowing this person a few months ago but no recollection of posting on their page. Is there a way I can check whether I commented without looking at their profile? I know they can see if I have looked at them and I don't want them to make any more allegations about me.

Well done. It's so impressive that you've seen it through to the end.

RonSwansonsChair · 20/10/2022 17:40

I can only echo Random's sentiments above, well done! You've seen it through, hopefully it's at the end now and you can breathe a huge sigh of relief.
Can I ask something about this old boss, does he have the dirt on someone high up? How the hell does he still have a job?

comfortablyfrumpy · 20/10/2022 21:39

Well done - that can't have been easy.

SecretDoor · 20/10/2022 23:13

Such an ordeal. You have done so well. I hope it all goes in your favour

Shitfather · 21/10/2022 00:15

You are one brave fighter! We are all horrified for you and cheering you on! Thanks for regularly updating as a lot of think about you.

Grrrpredictivetex · 05/11/2022 13:25

@Bearyhumcrack any news?

Blablablaaaaa · 05/11/2022 19:13

Well done! I hope you get the right outcome

Justkeepleft · 06/11/2022 13:51

I don't envy you writting it all up. Trying to get that in some rational order when none of it is rational would not have been easy.

I hope the next steps see positive results for you

Bearyhumcrack · 06/11/2022 17:37

Yes, laying it out to someone who's not been involved from the start has been difficult. Interviews all done now, some of my witnesses have let me know they've been interviewed as well. The recordings seem even more damning now tbh.

We will see... maybe thread #2 will be good news stories!!

As ever, thank you so much for support.

Keep going BH :)

XanaduKira · 06/11/2022 17:51

Stay strong Op - you definitely deserve a thread with good news. It really is shocking they've put you through this in the first instance, never mind letting it drag on for so long. Disgraceful.

RandomMess · 06/11/2022 19:27

Keep on going, I am so impressed with your determination to see this through.

Me too! I'd imagine there are a few sleepless nights being had somewhere. Good.

Justkeepleft · 25/11/2022 22:50

How are you doing OP?
I hope things are still moving in the right direction.

BankseyVest · 26/11/2022 11:46

Fingers crossed for you op, I often wonder how it's going

Bearyhumcrack · 26/11/2022 17:56

Hello! No real news hence no updates. The organisation have separated this into two complaints, one for general bullying and one for the shitshow that was the investigation.

I've been interviewed for both and I know witnesses are now being interviewed so here we are! It was mildly traumatic, remembering his general conduct but I really went to town on everything he's done, emailing me
late on Fridays when he had been specifically asked to go via my rep, his tone in communication with me vs his tone with men, all sorts of stuff which did end up being quite cathartic.

I don't expect to hear anything this year but I do very much look forward to reading his responses to questions like: "why did you say this when it wasn't true".and so on.

thank you for hanging in there with me! It's been like 18 months now?!

Oh @Bearyhumcrack you can't underestimate how strong you've been. You've not shied away from continuing with this. I take my hat of to you, you are amazing.

ColadhSamh · 26/11/2022 20:58

Your resilience is admirable.

Hopefully this will make you stronger. Keep on going.

Whee · 26/11/2022 21:13

Wishing you all the best OP. What a slow process it is! Your resilience is inspiring.

I am formidably strong these days. It's quite remarkable how this has made me sure of my boundaries etc. 1/10 would not recommend as a route to personal development.

I was thinking how your style of post and tone has changed and sounds stronger and more focused. I thought it would be presumptuous.
I am so glad you said it. As a random internet stranger it has been seriously impressive to see you take them on.

Oblomov22 · 27/11/2022 09:10

So sad for you that this has been going on for 18 months. Disgraceful.

BastardtheCat · 28/11/2022 11:19

RTFT from beginning to now OP in one sitting (covid insomnia) and I'm staggered at the sheer unprofessionalism of these individuals.

On the other hand, I can absolutely echo what pp's have said. You have grown Teflon coated resilience as a result and you sound increasingly strong. Power to you Flowers

Bearyhumcrack · 28/11/2022 14:50

@TheBlessedCheesemaker thank you. That's really interesting. This case may still make it to ET but it's way more complicated than I imagined to do that so let's see what the complaint process throws up!
