Accused of posting on someone's LinkedIn...

Bearyhumcrack · 14/05/2021 06:58

I work in a public sector organisation and have been called in by my line manager to say that I have posted something offensive on someone's LinkedIn page and of causing offensive comments on twitter. Confused

I have a LinkedIn account but don't use it much, I do remember following and unfollowing this person a few months ago but no recollection of posting on their page. Is there a way I can check whether I commented without looking at their profile? I know they can see if I have looked at them and I don't want them to make any more allegations about me.

Read all of OP’s posts on this thread and there’s zero mention of being arrested.

October2020 · 19/08/2022 09:23

The thread has now been deleted but OP posted asking for people to tell her the name of a book she had half-read in custody, which turned out to be the Flat Share. And that she had been arrested for contacting people related to this... or something similar. Described this situation exactly.

Hope you're okay OP.

OwlHouse · 19/08/2022 11:02

The OP posted a thread in which she said she had been arrested when she went to report being a victim of online harassment. But it wasn't related to this work issue, but her ex partner or someone linked to her ex partner. From what I can remember from her deleted thread.

IncompleteSenten · 19/08/2022 11:23

The onus is on the person making the accusation to prove it.
I can't see how they'd win ET unless they have actual evidence.

Why would she be arrested for reporting harassment? Whole thing is bizarre.

I think because the person she was reporting counter-reported the OP.

This is correct. Flat share has now arrived so I can finish it... not much else to say on this topic.

thank you for posts relating to this workplace issue. I will go through them all and have a call with a solicitor on Monday evening.

I feel like I'm in a spiral of doom to be honest.

Oh @Bearyhumcrack, I'm so sorry to see your latest post. Sounds like your mum is taking a bit of a battering, and who can blame you after all that you've been put through. Please don't give up, that's absolutely what they want. Take care of yourself! I really hope those fuckers pay some day.
💐 for you. Keep strong 💪

FlipFlopShopInHawaii · 20/08/2022 11:05

Mum meant to say MH- ffs stupid autocorrect 🙄 😤

comfortablyfrumpy · 20/08/2022 11:16

Keep going @Bearyhumcrack .

I can't believe you are still having to deal with this. Hopefully your Solicitor will be able to find a way to get it sorted

Bearyhumcrack · 20/08/2022 11:57

@FlipFlopShopInHawaii it made me chuckle- my mum would have been a nightmare with all this! MH is holding up tbh, I'm working in a new environment which is less chaotic and I have just finished listening to atomic habits which I am implementing and is also helping.

ty for all of the other support.

if anyone has any experience with "answering bail", I'd appreciate a DM 💐

Bearyhumcrack · 06/10/2022 17:05

Wishing you all the luck in the world for next week Beaary and here's hoping whoever is in a decision-making capacity on your case has a large helping of common sense and rationality.

Omg @Bearyhumcrack , this has been going on for so long that I must have posted under at least 3 different names at this rate!
All I want to say now is, You are amazing!! Well done for hanging in there, especially when they tried so hard to break you! If I could buy you the biggest bunch of flowers ever, I would 💐🌷⚘🌹Flowers

WeepingSomnambulist · 07/10/2022 05:58

@Cherms

Why have you posted the date of the OP? Do you think this is a zombie thread?

It isnt. It has been going on for a long time, and the OP comes back with updates or people post asking how she is doing.
