How many covid tests have you done?

Just wondering whether we are unusual in that neither myself nor DH have had need to do a covid test at all?

DD hasn't done one either as she has been too unwell to return to school, so hasn't had to do the twice weekly tests that secondary pupils are doing.

Is this common, or are we an unusual household?

Three.

Two during separate isolation periods where the app pinged me for contact. Didn’t have covid either of those times, and I think I was just over anxious in interpreting very slight vague symptoms as the start of it.

And a third occasion where I was covid positive but I completely expected that as my boyfriend had tested positive and my app had pinged me, I developed symptoms a couple of days after his positive test.

None.

SquigglePigs · 14/04/2021 21:41

None. DD is at nursery though so we ought to start doing lateral flow tests but we haven't got that far yet.

vodkaredbullgirl · 14/04/2021 21:47

I'm going to make my 2 have a lft, then they can stop laughing when I do mine lol. Both of them are in their 20s

sunnydaleslayer · 14/04/2021 21:50

Two PCR tests

One negative, one positive

tortoiselover100 · 15/04/2021 02:40

None, I've wfh throughout. Neither child has had one.

Iquitit · 15/04/2021 03:01

Through work -
3lft and 1pcr per week since Dec, previously 1 PCR per week since sept.
Because of symptoms/exposure outside of work - none.

Vivana · 15/04/2021 04:47

Over 30 pcr and lost count of lateral flow tests as i have to do twice a week. This is all done as I work in social care and part of my job

ceeveebee · 15/04/2021 06:51

DD and DH have had one PCR each due to symptoms (both negative)
DH and I have been doing LFD tests 2 x a week since the DC went back to school (they are primary age so haven’t done themselves)

I think the advice is for all adults to be doing 2 x weekly tests now?

EileenGC · 15/04/2021 06:54

I’ve lost count.

Since August, 2 or 3 PCRs per week and a few LFT on some weeks. Lately there has been a shift towards more LFT/less PCR as the local rates are somewhat lower, but I still had 4 tests last week and 3 this week.

All for work except the ones I take for travel, which are always PCR.

TravellingSpoon · 15/04/2021 06:58

I've lost count, but probably close to a hundred. We have weekly PCR tests which started in August and twice weekly LFD tests for a few months. If a colleague has a positive test we have to have LFD tests at the start of each shift.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 15/04/2021 06:59

None.

Four adults, 2 working outside the home, one working from home, 1 SAHM and a nursery aged child.

DinosApple · 15/04/2021 07:06

DH has done none.
DD1 1x PCR, 2x per week lateral flow,.
DD2 2x PCR.
Me 2x per week lateral flow.

(No positives yet.🤞)

AwkwardSquad · 15/04/2021 07:06

Nine until very recently when visiting my father in a nursing home, now I’ve had 5 or 6 LFTs. All negative, thank goodness. We were several hundred miles from home so goodness knows what we’d have done had one come up positive.

AwkwardSquad · 15/04/2021 07:07

*none - not nine! Pffft

WaitingForNormality · 15/04/2021 07:14

Twice weekly since November so quite a few LFT by this point! Then had a PCR when DH caught covid from school first week back recently.

YouLikeTheBadOnesToo · 15/04/2021 07:22

No one in our household has had symptoms, so no PCR tests. I’ve lost count of the number of LFT tests dh and I have done though. Both have been asked to do them regularly at work (prison service) for a few months now.

justanotherneighinparadise · 15/04/2021 07:24

None. Noone’s been ill!

JustMeAndWheatley · 15/04/2021 07:26

13 pcr tests
3 lateral flow

Most of mine were because of hospital appointments and an overnight hospital stay

ImTheWolfToday · 15/04/2021 07:43

3 PCR tests, 2 because I had a cough and one as part of a study.
Twice weekly lateral flow tests since they rolled them out to households within school age children.
All negative

KarmaNoMore · 15/04/2021 07:47

I have had about 6, but it was because I volunteered to participate in the Kings College’s research on how the virus spread, so I was invited to test every few weeks. Also because I had a hospital stay (tested before admission) and the last one was because DS got a massive rash and no doctor wanted to see him until he had been tested.

All negative.

skeggycaggy · 15/04/2021 09:00

I’ve had one, for an Imperial study.
DH none.
DC1 has been tested for school.
DC2 has been tested so the dentist would see her
DC3 has been tested when he had a cough.
