How many covid tests have you done?

Just wondering whether we are unusual in that neither myself nor DH have had need to do a covid test at all?

DD hasn't done one either as she has been too unwell to return to school, so hasn't had to do the twice weekly tests that secondary pupils are doing.

Is this common, or are we an unusual household?

None for 4 out of 5 if us.

Two for 6yo.

I did have a horrible cough /cold over Xmas but we were all self isolating after the 6yo was identified as a close contact so I didn't bother testing (was still difficult to get home tests at that point)

Devlesko · 14/04/2021 19:00

Me, none.
Dh about 10 as was in hospital for a week.
Dd 2x weekly for school.

samsonthecat · 14/04/2021 19:00

None. Me and two teens.

Dh has done 2 pcr, 11 lft, I've done 1 pcr, 11 lft. Dc2, 3 & 4 have done 1 pcr each. Dc5 has had 6 pcr tests (because his asthma keeps flaring up & nursery asked us to test him). Dc1 has done 0.

ValerieMorghulis · 14/04/2021 19:02

2 LFTs per week each (including me and DH) since school re-opened on 8th March.

All negative so far, thankfully!

bloodywhitecat · 14/04/2021 19:03

Me - 0. DP - lost count, he has always been asymptomatic and the results have always been negative thankfully.

Larsingsong · 14/04/2021 19:04

I've done about 8 pcr tests, 4 symptomatic, 4 as part of the Covid symptom study trial. All negative.

Turns out all the coughing and shortness of breath this last year was down to asthma.

MrsPsmalls · 14/04/2021 19:05

About 100 I guess. Twice a week for the nhs. For a while also everyday I visited a care home, and also a shed load when all the family got covid

AuntieStella · 14/04/2021 19:05

One PCR for symptoms (negative) and I've lost track of number of LFTs (secondary school age DC). Everyone's tests all negative .... so far

marie8989 · 14/04/2021 19:06

Just 1 when i went into hospital to give birth

EventuallyDistracted · 14/04/2021 19:06

Me - 4x PCR by request of the Zoe tracking app for sore throats at various times (all negative). All of us twice a week LFT since the secondary age DCs went back to school this time - DH and I work outside the home but weren't entitled to them through our workplaces but can pick them up free aince the schools went back. All negative for all of us so far.

Most people I know work outside the home so most have had them for one reason or another.

AutumnOrange · 14/04/2021 19:07

About 30 - all my family have as we are part of the ONS study plus I do them weekly at work

Thesagacontinues · 14/04/2021 19:09

None for me and DC. My dp has them every two weeks at work but never had symptoms requiring him to get one.

Spudlet · 14/04/2021 19:10

No PCR tests, but we have been doing LFTs since DS went back to school. Bloody horrible things, they always make my eyes water!

LondonJax · 14/04/2021 19:12

Two a week each (Lateral Flow). DS because he's a teenager at school, me because I work in a school and DH because we live with him! I think he may move into the shed as he absolutely detests them ha ha!

InMySpareTime · 14/04/2021 19:12

About 13 each as we're in the ONS study, we wouldn't have done any otherwise and they've all been negative.
DD does 2 a week for college, but she lives away so doesn't count as my household (just my support bubble)

SillyBub · 14/04/2021 19:12

2 x PCR as requested by Zoe app - both negative
21 x LFT, twice a week because I work in a school, all negative.
DC1 has done 11 x LFT as they attend secondary school.
DH 1 x PCR for symptoms, result negative. He won't do the home LFTs.
DC2 is at primary school and hasn't had any symptoms requiring a test to be done.

So that's 35 in our household.

Pompom2367 · 14/04/2021 19:14

0 tests in our house I wfh dp still out at work the full time but we have been very lucky

devildeepbluesea · 14/04/2021 19:14

None for me
1 for DD thanks to uber-careful school measures after she puked. But it was all day breakfast for lunch and she always pukes after that (apparently you need a new letter requesting an alternative every term....I wasn't aware).

LionLily · 14/04/2021 19:15

I've done in excess of 160 as I do 3 a week for work. (And I still gag every time).
I've had to arrange whole family tests for us on two occasions following advice from work.

YesThisIsMe · 14/04/2021 19:17

Two negative PCRs before visiting elderly relatives (one that I paid for privately, one NHS one because I had very mild symptoms).
One postal test currently sitting on my kitchen table to do tomorrow morning because I’m living in Lambeth.

Icantchangemyusername · 14/04/2021 19:18

I've had 1 PCR test which was negative and 12 LFT's also negative. My work (university) has been offering LFT since January so I have one once a week.

CosmicComfort · 14/04/2021 19:20

1 PCR last June and LFT’s twice weekly for months now.

All negative.

ilovebagpuss · 14/04/2021 19:20

Tons as I work in nursing homes so usually 2 LFT and 1 PCR a week then when we had an outbreak at a home I was in it was one each day. So over a year probably about 150+
DD does 2 a week but only since they went back in March.
